Great news! The 2H I have, the Mounts on the Engine Block sit at the Back end of the motor, whilst the 2F has it's mounts at the front.
I'll have a stickybeak now through the threads. Thank you!

Update:
Great progress getting ready for the pulled pork.
Diesel Motor from the 60 series fully un-wired and will be installed Thursday Night.
Fabricating Custom Engine/Transfer Brackets due to Engineering discussions.
Installed a Brake Booster from an 80 Series donated by @brisveganbj42
Small adapter to make it fit as the fork to the peddle is longer then the 40/55.

We have liftoff!
Our HJ60 has kindly donated it's 2H Diesel Motor for our FJ55V Project.
Slotted in nicely besides needing to remove the extractors.
Next we start on the Engine Mounts, Transfer Mounts and Wiring.
See how we go fitting the Clutch Fan in otherwise we'll run thermos.
It's also a Year to the date I purchased the FJ55.

Dropped the factory Fuel Tank today. Seems like I found out why it coughed and spluttered running on Petrol/Gas. Huge crack in the Fuel Lines bringing in Air. Another thing to add to the list.
Our Engine and Transfer Mounts have been laser cut today and are being installed this week.
From here we can size up the Radiator Mounting and fit the 10" Blistien Shock Absorbers.

Great build. That should be a nice combo with the 2H. I just about can't handle the picture with the back of the 55 and the 60 side by side with the Ambi rear doors. Two ladies with fine back ends there!

Thanks @dogfishlake
The 60 really didn't want to give the 2H up. I've never owned a 60 before, let alone ambi doors. My HDJ80R is Tailgate and loved it.
I'll get a few photos for you next time I am at the cruisers.

Had another day of achieving a whole bunch of little things.
60 Series Diffs Out.
Ready to swap in for the 55 Diffs as I needed a good working Handbrake and Softer Leafs.

Howdy!
Been a little while since an update.
We've been a bit under the weather waiting for the motor to be installed.
In the mean time I was able to get in contact with Deo at Cruiserjunkton who hooked me up with some "Year of the Pig" shirts for the OCKA trip coming up in August. Big thanks for posting them from the USA to Down Under.

The HJ55 Project is now back in the swing of things with
- 60 Rear Diff being installed.
- 3 Leafs removed from the Springs due to high weight rated (500kg from a HZJ75 Ute)
- Laser cut Gearbox & Engine mounts.
- Laser cut Shock Mounts and Bilstein Shocks installled.
- Front Bar / Winch
- Sliders.

Gday.
Good start to the weekend. Builder sending me photos of the 2He installed. Custom Engine Brackets as the 60 is a far wider chassis to the 55.
Now to fit the Steering Box back.

That’s a good looking lift height👍
Did you install just the diff or the entire FJ60 axle housing?

Hey RUSH55 - Rear is an Entire 60 Diff Assembly. Front is a 55 Housing and Diff, with 60 Hubs, Axles and Knuckles.

How did you end up going with the conversion? Did you move the spring perches in on the housing or outboard your spring hangers on the frame?

Spring perches on the Diff Housing inwards to match the Chassis line. It's a far easier job.

Needed to strip the diff down to rebuild it anyway.
Turns out the Inner Bearings were not in the best shape.

Deo at CruiserJuncton sent me a few more 'Year of the Pig' Stickers and Nolen was more then happy to send me a sticker from the Southern Swine earlier this year.

Our HJ55s Engine Mounts and Transfer Mounts are all done - Ready for fitment next week.

Does the 55 housing with the 60 hubs and knuckles increase the track width? Heard of people doing this, just haven’t verified that it increases the track to match the 60 rear.
Loving what you’re doing - super sweet rig you have!👍

My 55 housing has 60 hubs for the disc conversion. The inner 55 axle stays and the 60 birfield is used. Track width stays the same as original 55.
