Worst college summer time job ever...blowing pressurized lime out of tankers on to a roadbed being prepared for paving. Walked around all day in a cloud of lime wearing only goggles and a paper mask. Walked out from changing valves from one chamber to another right into the side of a Dept. of Transportation truck full of inspectors who blew past the flagman who was supposed to stop all traffic. Managed to hurl the mallet I used to check tanks for fullness right thru the back window of their state-issued Travelall.

EPA would have a sh*t fit over that now, rightly so, I’m sure blowing pressurized lime dust all over the ground sucked balls.

Remember when that guy car bombed the AT&T building In Nashville. It took out cell services just as we were driving up hwy 65 north. We stopped that night at a hotel and then dropped off the 2 pigs in Erin’s yard. She had a purple one that was just a shell. We dropped and turned around and hot shot back to Daniel’s to pick up the third.

Looks like a '72 (or earlier) and about a '74?

That purple one looks familiar, was that one @Trollhole was selling once upon a time?

Funny, remember a page or so back where the red ford truck was stuck in a creek. A DR. Friend. Just got his Defender from Europe and drives right into the same creek today. Had to anchor to a tree behind me to winch him free. He had sucked in a little water, so we pulled the air filter. It was soaked, had him bump the engine over and. Rrrrr. Rerrrrrree. Rrrrrrrreer, it fires off. Blew the water out of the exhaust and he drove back up the hill.

So the Update to the 110 defender, Doc went out again 3 days later and sucked in some more water. Popped the Cam shaft drive belt. Amazing, after 7 days of ownership its in the repair shop. We are hoping the valves didnt get bent. 50/50 shot.......

About halfway through the trip the owner kept looking back at me after he would wheelie or jump something. So I asked him? Why do you keep looking at me? Just wanted see if you could do what I do…… wait so your saying we can jump and wheelie now. By this time the whole group was looking at him. He was like yeah if you feel comfortable doing it. SON!!! It was on after that!!

At the end of the tour. We stopped at the place they filmed most off road tv shows. Alaska off road warriors/ top gear American version / ultimate adventure// … the owner turns around and says this is follow the leader. Follow me.. as he pops a wheelie up until around 30mph and then drops the front and really gets going. Then turns right into one of the sand bar embankments and rooster tails the top edge. Then down and up and over and through some of the funniest and fastest trail of the day! For the next 30mins we cut loose and just let everything go!
