This is such a beastly Pig!!!
I don't think @scottryana ever did a build thread in here - this might be the closest to it: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/the-land-cruiser-that-haunts-you.1089488/

I always loved that Pig!
Yeah no built thread unfortunately and there was a lot of mistakes and learning that took place. And then it changed hands a couple times and sounded like some of the wiring got messy. (Fans wired wrong, lockers not working, etc). But it’s a very cool truck. It was almost completely rust free when I bought it and at the time I had bought some of the last original rubber for the windows, doors, tailgate, etc.

It’s not a show truck, hell I spray painted it. I did use good automotive paint but it’s a user not a show truck.

I really really would have loved to have gotten it back from Zac Penny when he sold it but it wasn’t offered to me.

Happy Thanksgiving all, I hope you’re having a great day with family and friends.

Well, you did an amazing job! Its one of the nicest wheeling capable rigs I have seen. You should probably call Zack Penny back and ask about his collection of Land cruisers in the Building behind the Dealership. I walked through there one time with the Group from Heart Of the South. The FJ40 troopies and the FJ40's are super nice. I thought he was doing a drivetrain swap from an FJ cruiser to an FJ40 Body. But that was years ago.

You ended up buying it back once, yes?

Haha thanks like I said there was a lot of learning and a lot of memories in that truck. My friend Jon who worked at Ironpig Offroad and I did our first 3 link on that truck before he passed, and my wife and I painted the truck over a holiday weekend in Lance's shop before she passed. Cancer took both of them way too young. I guess I am glad if I don't have it that someone is enjoying it!

I went through cancer treatment myself in 2011. Found tongue cancer, Never dip smoked or chewed, It was very aggressive, in 2 weeks went from stage 2 to stage 4, they removed 1/3 of my tongue, and 24 nodes, cancer had spread that far that quick. Then Chemo and Radiation.. That's where I learn you cannot OD on aniti -nausea meds. Been Cancer free now 10 years.

Back on the cruiser content. My work allowed me some down time. So went to the Mecca and Mednia of the North! See if you can guess who’s shop this is ?

Was only home a month before I was back on the road again. Rental cars are scarce- ended up renting a u-haul van box truck to drive to and from work. The storm and the mission well that’s a long story but really fun. Can’t put any of it on line. Met with some family friends.
