bump!!!!!

I'd post pictures of my Fj40, but they're in Mississippi. I'll show some of my cruiser pics when I find them; which I got it at age 18, which I'm sure most of you curiserheads got your first cruiser.

Vic Hickey " sidewinder " winch

way cool, I remember lusting after a Hickey winch back in the early days f " Four Wheel Mag"

I had that same Man a Fre Catalog in my glove when I bought my 72 Fj40 back in 1993. The pictures were really cool. Wish I could find that catalog today. Love the rook rack.

I wonder where in Fallon - live close and good chance it may still be there......

This thread is tearing me up. I come from a line of Cruiserholics. My mom and dad had 2 thru the 60's and 70's. My mom and stepdad had 2 during the 80's. My brother had 2 and 2 of my sister had the same one and I am on my second. I lost my stepdad that raised me in 2006 and the pictures and stories are tearing me up. I hope my 11 year old daughter will catch the fever. My fiance has the fever and hopefully I will have more to pass it on to in the future. If I had the equipment to scan old photos I would post em, so keep posting em til I can.:steer:

Land cruiser love

Hey, I don't have many posts on here. I have been a long time lurker, and Toyota lover. I'm only 20 years old, but I have owned a few cool Toyotas before.

My dad was always a Toyota guy too, here is some pictures of his Black FJ40, it had a SBC 350, 4 inch lift and 35x14.00 swampers on it.

He liked to take it to the mud bogs to promote the family business (a toyota dealership, where I work now)

That's the Saltaire, on the great salt lake. The s***tiest place in the contigous 48. The smell off that lake is abysmal.

Just in case you were mesmerized and would have been incomplete with out knowing where the Beach Boys were hanging out with a 40... :D

P.S. The second picture is after a fire in... who knows... they reno'ed it in... who knows, and or why.

72 FJ40

Here is me and my 72 Fj40 in the 1980's. I bought it new in Washington State, took it to Alaska, and California. Had to sell it in the late 1980's because of all the rust. Now have a BJ42 and I'm back in Alaska. Jim
