How many bolts are removed when taking off the starter? I removed the two long bolts that are on the front of the starter am i missing one? back side? I have a new battery and all new 4ga wire.. one owner. Certain it is the origional

Pic for reference. Note, this is not an original 40 series starter but, the gear reduction (GR) starter mounting points are the same.

For the unsolicited advice column, if you’re replacing your factory starter, the GR is an easy, worth the effort upgrade.
