Amazing thread! Has been invaluable to me collecting the parts for this project. Thank you @CruiserTrash, @dbbowen and @red66toy for the write up.

I’ve disassembled the windows, which were in pretty good shape and am going to take to get blasted and powder coated. I see most folks choose to go with a matte black finish. Has anyone used a chrome finish powder coat? I was thinking it would match the trim on the rest of the windows better.

Also, I noticed that a few of the bottom drain slots had some sort of plastic tape over them. Did anyone else find that too? Is it worthwhile trying to reproduce that or just leave off?

I left the tape off of mine and haven’t had any issues so far. I’m not sure what exactly they are for though. If you did a chrome powder coat that would be pretty awesome, it’s just a lot thicker than the other chrome trim and would stand out quite a bit.
