Rear 1/4 sliding windows - HELP (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Just joined to post this. Having some trouble with the rear quarter sliding windows on my HJ60. They're ****ed and have moss growing in the bailey channels - obviously they don't slide very well.

Was wondering what everyone's ideas are re: fixing them as quickly and cheaply as possible. Doing the car up for a trip around Aus with my partner and this is merely a cosmetic issue so wanting to do it with minimal time effort and money, otherwise it will just have to be a pain in the ass for the duration of the trip. Thought about getting new seals from RSA and replacing but for $200 it's money spent better elsewhere. Anyone tried any cheaper ones from ebay etc and could give a recommendation? Have also found some second hand 80 series windows that could be picked up cheap - will these fit?

Otherwise, does anyone have any tips on cleaning the channels for the window to slide better? Any help much appreciated!! Cheers

Any photo's of how bad they are? An aggresive brush and soap will remove the moss, then s***loads of silicon lube spray will get them working well enough, just takes time and elbow grease. Did this to my GQ, a fresh spray of lube every week or two will keep it running nicely.

80 windows will not fit.
