looking cool, I have to ask but did you leave the steering column and slave in when you painted it ?

Just out of interest, what CAD program are you using for modelling, and did you do you own 3D scan of the engine bay?

Generally Solidworks. Small HP scanner for smaller projects... And the blue light big gun equipment for comprehensive projects.... :)

Can't wait to see the final result on this build. Great work!

I'd love to talk to you about my 1990 FJ62...

Nice 62:) - Had to reshuffle the motor a bit but all parts are now inbound and we will be going into system assembly in short order. eric@electricgt.com w any questions. Welcome to come visit us too.

Love all of this! Excited to see the results!

Since electric motors create immediate torque, are you not worried about that propeller support on the back of the tcase?

Also, with all that awesome fabwork, a nicely done proper support would seem in order, imo.

Great work!

knowing the weaknesses of the one piece 40 case, are you also thinking that t-case might split at the intermediate shaft?

Per above post... with some mods.. aiming for bolt in to faciklitate replication/installation.

176hp / 216ftlbs total with those motors?

Using dual HPVES AC-50' = @ 71 HP ea / 120 ft/lbs Total 140HP w 240 ftlbs. Optionally we are looking at a similar offering w Dual Hyper 9 motors providing 240HP/340ft lbs... We may or may not have blown a few parts before... -Controllers are fully programable ie power, power curves, regen braking etc. Certain to have some fun with this build. We could go crazy say and per some other cool things we are considering: Cascadia motor package driving the t case directly.....

While it looks pretty stout, those bolt locations were never intended to support weight or rotational force. And I agree with @lcwizard that the tcase is also overmatched.

In a perfect world, I’d like to see a bel housing adapter plate to mount it in place of a SBC motor. I’m not likely to covert this year... but perhaps some day.
