Thanks for sharing this guide, it inspired me to fix my non-working wipers.
When I stripped the mechanism down and cleaned all of the hard grease away, I can see the reason the motor runs but nothing happens is that the sacrificial gear has sacrificed itself, see the stripped teeth in the pic:

Do you know if the part is available as a spare, or is it possible to source one secondhand?

Thank you! Couldn’t have done it without your wiring and terminals.
How much do you charge? I have one working and one ‘kind of working’ wiper motor on my 64. Might get them both refreshed.

I've had my '69 FJ40 for over 30 years and it's never had a wiper assembly. The daunting task of being able to assemble all the parts or find a complete unit was a pain so I've just gone without. I contacted @thundermcawesum a couple weeks ago and he rebuilt a unit and sent pictures of the progress as it was rebuilt and restored and even helped with wiring that will work with my harness. I can't recommend Chris enough, if you need a wiper assembly or need one restored he's your guy. Thanks again Chris

Here’s what I’m sending you Chris. Apparently I am getting a little forgetful, in that I did not remember that I had put an OE replacement into the lwb shortly after I got it. Other than the little ding on the cover, it still looks like brand new after 30 years!

You could post the pics of your carb here too. I don’t think the OP will mind.😉

That is what the wiper motors look like on my ‘64

I wouldn't DREAM of taking that paint off. Darn things a time capsule. Mechanical-only refurb coming right up!
