This is absolute bs honestly. The windings on my wiper motor armature have failed, and the search for a good 24v wiper motor for my bj42 is useless so far. At this point I just want to be able to rig a 12v motor instead. Is there a cheap and easy way to get 12v from my stock 24v setup to run a wiper motor? My electrical knowledge is very limited and I'm getting so frustrated. All of the threads that explain ways of getting 12v are so complicated to understand for me with my limited knowledge. Thanks for any help.

Type 24v to 12v converter into your internet search engine. Amazon has a bunch for cheap. The wiper fuse on mine is 15A. Just pick the right size converter. Looks pretty easy to me.

Where in Canada are you. .? Have you tried a 12 volt one. I ran a 24volt one on 12 volts it worked just wipers were sloooowww. Toss a 12 volt in there maybe it will handle the voltage but be super fast wipers. Maybe even throw a wiper blade off. Haha. There might be some aeound. Maybe a 60 series could be adapted. Where are you in Canada.
There’s a guy in chilliwack bc who winds armaeratures. I’m sure others are around maybe get it repaired. What year is your BJ.
You have two 12 volt batteries. Run a separate wire and curcuit to a 12 volt wiper maybe. Hmm.

Now, using a 12v motor running a separate wire from one 12v battery is certainly thinking out of the box. No reason for that not to work. Hopefully, OP can figure that out.

I put an old 12V Mercedes windshield washer pump/tank on my 24V deuce and half back in 75. Maybe sure you fuse the line for that load. +1 for fix the motor

I have a fantasy of replacing the motor with a servo motor.

The original motor has the 3 settings. Off. Useless. Slightly less useless.

One of these days I'm going to learn how to program an Arduino and find a servo that'll fit under that little cover.
