Figured it may be nice to have a place to keep all the modifications and details to my build in one place so I figured I should start a build thread. I have been driving a reasonably built Tacoma for the last few years and honestly have loved the truck. I had no intentions to get rid of it but have wanted a Cruiser for some years and when I was offered a good chunk of money for my Tacoma by a local I decided to take the plunge. So far I'm happy with the switch but time will tell as we start traveling and exploring in it.
My Tacoma build: duvinclunk's lame obsessive 09 Pyrite build.
Coming from a Tacoma that was slightly outfitted I didn't want much downtime to the Cruiser. The only way I would sell the Tacoma is if I could get the Cruiser built within a few months and ready for the trail by the end of winter and beginning of spring to get out and start exploring. Money was budgeted for the build and it would be tight but thought I could likely get it done so it began!
I decided I wanted a LX470 frankly because I liked the front end much more. I knew I'd have to deal with the AHC but honestly preferred the front of the LX. After searching for one for several weeks I lucked out and got a KILLER deal on one locally.

Wheels/Tires:
(5) SCS F5 16x8 +10 Wheels
Cooper ST Maxx 315/75/16
Drivetrain:
ARB Front Air Locker
ARB Rear Air Locker
Nitro Gear 4.88 Gears
Armor:
Dissent Front Bumper
Slee Rear Dual Swing Out Bumper
Slee Tube Sliders
Exterior:
Roof Rack (TBD)
Blacked Chrome
Interior:
TBD
Electrical/Lighting:
ARB Twin Air Compressor
Group 31 Battery
sPod HD Switch Panel
Recovery:
Trail Tailor Front Recovery Points (Waiting to be installed)
Camp Stuff:
Tepui Kukenam Sky Rooftop Tent
ARB Awning 4ft
ARB 50 Fridge
Misc:
Slee Twin Compressor/Dual Battery Mount
Slee Group 31 Battery Tray
Slee Extended Brake Lines
There should be more to come but that should be a good start. I may be missing stuff but will add as I remember. Also love to hear suggestions from other experienced Cruiser owners. Hopefully it won't be too much of a beast to hit trails that we're used to doing!
