I apologize if the instructions at time of your installation did not have what you needed! This is something we continue to improve on.
That being said if you are talking about the 4 bolts that attach the hinge bracket those are 50fp if I...
I know you have a lot of experience with the slee rear as your old bumpers are almost a direct copy but I was not aware you have any personal experience with ours?
(Shots fired back in good fun of course 😜)
In all seriousness if you have...
On my Dissent setup (front, rear and skids) I used no threadlocker of any kind. 4 years and lots of trails and highway driving later and nothing has come loose.
Only a select few factory bolts use threadlocker (lower shock bolts and some brake...
As @GatorBait1551 said, you can swap out to whatever strut that you would like. Keep in mind the lighter you go the less it will hold open on a side hill. I will also second that there are likely some alignment issues on yours as our swing out...
Our standard rear high clearance rear bumper with high clearance crossmember is going to have considerable departure angle gains from the slee. Only a little more clearance but several less inches of stick out which helps considerably with...
Really glad that I read this. I was under the impression that the LC would have the 9.5". Not very thrilled to find out it has the baby diff, especially since it's a big heavy vehicle with decent torque. This is pushing me back towards the GX550...
Actually @benc is a bit up the hill from me here in California. Our back yard is the Rubicon and many more miles of great trails. Not at all uncommon to see rigs like that driving up the road.
I don't think there's a clear reason the lc250 exists separate from 4Runner beyond capitalizing on the land cruiser name. At least nothing that's clear with the limited info we have right now. We don't know for sure what the 4Runner is or how it...
Yes but we didn’t get the Prado. Doesn’t make sense to me why we would have the 4runner and lc250 if they are the same. Originally the lc250 was getting the bigger engine and drivetrain but that had to change due to the CAFE standards.
Cause it seamed to be a last minute change and seems they needed to cut some weight to me. I don’t think they were able to get the fuel economy they needed so they made some last minute changes to get the numbers. Even with the weight cuts they...
I am assuming it was most likely an epa thing. The prototypes had the bigger diffs as far as I know. Even the prototype Tacoma had the bigger diffs but believe those are getting smaller diffs as well. Makes me wonder what the difference from...
Official specs were posted here but Toyota asked the op to take it down. These specs showed the lc250 to have smaller diffs than the gx550 which is unfortunate!
I was also surprised and disappointed by the smaller running gear. The 8.2 is pretty strong. Not sure it's that strong. But who knows? They've impressed me so far in my own use, but it wasn't nearly as aggressive as 38's and 400 ftlbs. Plus side...
We are shooting for a 38x13.5 but will have to see how that goes. At the least a 37 though.
Looking to get a 38x13.5. I was certainly bummed to find out the lc is getting smaller diffs than the gx but we will see how it holds up. I do...
We do. I’m doubtful many will want to modify in the way we are doing ours but I’m sure many will love to watch 😂. We will be doing a Les aggressive armor line for the masses that will require much less cutting.
We have some big plans for our 2024 lc250 FE once we receive it! What are your thoughts? Think it will make a good trail rig and compete with the bronco and jeep market? Ours should arrive soon and we are planning to give a crawler build a go...
