I have been very busy at work for the past couple months planning a shop teacher conference at my high school. It went well and over 300 people attended from all over the place.

Needless to say, I have not had too much time for the cruiser :(

I rebuilt the tcase... (CAUTION, TURD POLISHING TO COME)

I also installed a factory-ish interior light....
not sure what I will do for a switch yet...

Factory VS Mine. (Bought off the board but I don't know what it is)

Your work is amazing---took a while with dialup to get through the thread---but outstanding work.

thanks for the encouragement

I got the trans / transfer / adapter together tonight.

I bolted the engine together yesterday with rebuilt 2002 Vortec Heads and other stuff.....

Pics tomorrow of swap. It has been a long time coming. Trust me.

Dude, I just found your thread and read through all five pages... I want more damit! It must be driving you nuts that you are getting so close to the inaugral test drive... ohhh. ahhh.
That will be sweet and just when you think you are done with your prefect build, you will realize you want more....
very impressive build so far and even more is your coverage of your progress. It is hard to put down the tools and pick up the camera to document progress.
Hats off to you, that is going to be one well thought out cruiser.
Keep the updates coming.....

Where are you located man, any chance I can check it out if I am ever in the area in the new year???

ok, ok, ok.

I know I have been a little picture light and vague on details lately. I have been busy over the Christmas break, and I am trying to get as much done as fast as I can.

Today was a long day getting the engine / trans / tcase in. Pics of that in a second.

As for tech....

I may have found a fault with the Advance Adapters plate I bought (Other than a couple stripped out holes !?!)

Anyway, there is no prevision for LUBRICATION for the bearing on the tcase side of the adapter as it is between two seals. This is just a factory 3 speed trans rear outputshaft bearring that is usually lubricated by the trans gear oil.

I added a "Fill Plug" to the top of the adapter. (.75" area to fill)

Nice work! That should be a sealed bearing so the fluid does not pass through and into the adapter. I have found trans fluid in my adapter not much ¼ cup, but it never past through the sealed t-case bearing. I have my old set up at home and can look to for the bearing number if you want.
