Well, it almost fit. I knew that I was going to have to cut the floor. Over the next week or so I will be making twin stick shifters, and patch the tunnel cover thingy.
:steer:

As for the hole in the top of the plate, I will probably dribble a bit of gear oil in there to ensure the bearing is not dry.

I wanted to keep a little of the original style of the rear tub body mounts. I came up with this to replace the rusted crap. The last pic is it just sitting on the tub. More pics of the finished product welded on tomorrow. I am very happy with how it turned out.

Incredible work Dr. Claw

Could you repost the picture from the above post as Im off to the fab shop to have mine redone and I liked how you worked yours out....just didnt save a pic in time. Thanks.

Keep up the great work, looks like the end is near.

Well hello again guys. Dang have I been busy. I probably have not touched the cruiser in a month, let alone update you guys.

I took a break from just about EVERYTHING for the Olympics, and then the wife and I took an 11 day trip all around France.

The pics are from Downtown Vancouver on our way to a concert, and The big gun and balls at Mt. St. Micheal in northwestern France.

Hello Again Everyone!

Sadly I have not touched the '45 since the beginning of summer. :(

I am currently in the middle of a Masters Of Arts in Technology Education. It is eating ALL OF MY TIME AND MONEY.

That being said, with a couple weeks off at Christmas, I thought that I would update ya'll with a couple pics and details of what I have been up to.

I just completed a "FJ45 To-Do" list that scares the crap out of me. It does not include anything to do with wiring or battery placement :S

I have managed to get most of the steering and brakes done. I am using 70 series arms and tie rod ends. I rebuilt the diffs a while ago, and I swapped in a rear full floater with a set of air helper springs / air bag thingies.

here is a shot of the engine as of today. It still has a long way to go before I get things moving..... I put the dist. and throttle body on there just to check hood and firewall clearance.

The next pic is where I go to school at Royal Roads University.

They filmed X-men there... kinda creepy and neat at the same time.

Cheers! :grinpimp:

Cool Doc, glad to see you back at it.

Wow, does time fly.

I have not touched this thing in months.

The majority of my school work is finished until September, then I have to start my thesis. :bang:

This week it has been quiet in the shop so I have been getting a bit done.

I have almost finished making the gas tank, and installing the accessories on the engine.

I have also decided to run a F.A.S.T. EFI stand alone system. It is not cheap though...... $1750 !

Pics up soon.
