We have some big plans for our 2024 lc250 FE once we receive it! What are your thoughts? Think it will make a good trail rig and compete with the bronco and jeep market? Ours should arrive soon and we are planning to give a crawler build a go and see how it handles trails like fordyce and rubicon! Excited to push the limits of this new platform!
Thanks @Box Rocket for the awesome renders!

Do you plan on doing no-cut bumpers? At least no cuts to the frame? It looked like the front facia was designed in such a way that taking off pieces of it would leave a nice empty bumper space without the need for cutting panels.

We do. I’m doubtful many will want to modify in the way we are doing ours but I’m sure many will love to watch 😂. We will be doing a Les aggressive armor line for the masses that will require much less cutting.

I figured. Your render is really enticing though. Maybe in 10 years when mine is "old" and ready for more aggressive fun.

Looks cool! What size tires are you shooting for? Do we know what front differential it has - mostly are there gear options available yet?

I'm curious to see how the 8.2 holds up to the hybrid torque with big tires. It's a pretty strong differential for its size, but it does seem like it's a lot to ask of an 8.2" differential. Same with the 8" clamshell.

What size tires are you all planning? Any plans for the rear diff?
We are shooting for a 38x13.5 but will have to see how that goes. At the least a 37 though.

Looking to get a 38x13.5. I was certainly bummed to find out the lc is getting smaller diffs than the gx but we will see how it holds up. I do believe there are gear options available but will have to confirm once we actually get ours here and confirm what diffs it has. The gx gets the 9.5 in the rear and 8.7 front and I believe the lc gets 8” front and 8.2 rear which came as a shock to us.

I was also surprised and disappointed by the smaller running gear. The 8.2 is pretty strong. Not sure it's that strong. But who knows? They've impressed me so far in my own use, but it wasn't nearly as aggressive as 38's and 400 ftlbs. Plus side is the easy of swap over to the new Tundra 9.5 with shared bolt pattern if needed. Front could be more challenging. As long as the carrier spacing is the same as the 3.73 8.2 - there's a pretty good range of 8.2 gear ratios. Clamshell is the same. Curious to see what they have inside though. Toyota has a tendency to have carrier breaks between various ratios. And the 8.2 3.73 ring gear is pretty thin, so I kinda doubt that the carrier spacing will remain the same for a 3.38. I'm not sure if anyone knows yet. The 8.2 3.73 is easy to find, but I don't know if it fits now that the e-locker is totally different.

Just thinking about it a bit - there's a lot to learn about it and being the first is going have some challenges. :) Have fun!!

The cross-traffic radars would have to be removed or relocated for those bumpers. looks rad though.

The renders look a little cartoonish but I do like the bumpers. That said, many wouldn't think twice about cutting plastic but cutting the frame makes it a very niche product for the very few.

I love the look and want to see the rig, the armor, and the 37 or 38 inch tires underneath it all out on the trail soon! I will be in the 'happy to cut the body, less keen to cut the frame camp' when it comes time to actually buy and build though (lame, but being honest).

Steering - In addition to wondering about the differentials holding up to 37's, does anyone know if the GX550, the new 250 series LC, and the LX600/LC300 use the same steering rack?

I'm glad to hear others long familiar with Land Cruisers were shocked at the 250's smaller running gear. Perhaps Toyota will upgrade a few years into production, as they did with the 80's switch to full float.

Wait… is this not how Toyota sells them? 😃

Where could a vehicle built like that be legally driven? Mongolia? I don’t think it’s highway legal in the USA. Guess it would need to be towed to an off-road location.

Aside from commie kalifornia, you can drive a modified car legally……
