A few folks have ordered the OEM snorkel and had it forwarded to the US - but it’s complicated and costly.

I’m waiting for this to hit the market personally.

If you are running a dorkel, you kind of need to own it, and go full retard with the Safari.

Are you guys actually crossing water at depths that need one, or in that much convoy dust or just want “the look”? All are valid reasons. My only snorkel equipped truck came with it pre-installed.

I wanna go full retard just so I can hear the turbski whistles ;)

I just got back from a week of fly fishing in the Sawtooths (Sawteeth??) and man, were there ever a lot of 250s in Sun Valley. I saw pretty much every trim, including a FE and pretty much every color. I also saw a crap ton of new 4Rs, and I have to say, despite them maybe getting a bit of whistle, they are butt ugly. I’m very glad to have my 1958. Whistle or no.

Never used it, I'm embarrassed to say.

Don't be. If you are ever in the unfortunate circumstance of submerging your cruiser you're going to have a lot of cleanup to do afterwards. I've been there in my 60. I'm glad I had the snorkel to keep the engine running all night but the aftermath was a lot of work. Better to avoid that situation if you can.

And in a 250? I don't think that rolling computer would be too happy at being underwater.

Raised intake for dust and cooler air is nice to have in hot dusty conditions but certainly not essential.
