Where does the license plate and light go?

Where ever you want! If you mount the hi lift on the outboard side, there will be no covering of the stock plate location. Bumper will ship without any of the attachments attached, so it’ll be up to the user to make sure they’re rig is legal (as usual).

Will there be provisions for a livense plate light?

Yes? If you call the stock one a provision for it. That is what we recommend using. If you decide to move your plate, you can just put an extension on that circuit and light up wherever you decide your plate should end up. As mentioned in the post you quoted, there is no need to move the plate if you (not you, @Somebodyelse5, but the bumper owner) make sure your nails match your handbag ("accessorize right").

Sooooooo close to having everything ready. Final fitting of the accessories, among other things. Pretty stoked about how this stuff is turning out.

Testing the:

1. ladder (with integrated mounting spots for things like H-Lifts)
2. ladder cover, with "cheese plate" to mount things to, like the Rotopax  in the pics and still be able to actually use the ladder

Here's what we are calling the "Tension Lock" accessory to mount your Hi-Lift with. The TL will have plenty of mounting points, including a standalone bracket and so will be able to mount without the ladder (for those who don't need a ladder).

Not going anywhere for a month (or a week)? Want to get into the back of your rig easily? A few minutes, a few bolts, and you have easy access to the back of your rig.

Days away from this thing being ready.

Glad to hear it's close to being released. I'd like to get one, but I need to get the diesel in it first, then bumpers.

I tend to find the sharp corners the hard and painful way, as do my kids. You may have addressed these and made changes already (since you've gone through multiple iterations), but I'l go ahead and ask; Have you increased the radius on the corners pointed out below to make them slightly less sharp?

The ones in the middle are pretty low profile, as well as the step. You'd have to be trying pretty hard to get caught up on either of those. Maybe @boogiebones or @mryanangel can weigh in on that and give you their perspective though.

But to directly answer your question, no, those have not had increased radii put on them.

Thanks for the quick response, is that something that can be considered in the future?

We could easily customize one for you if you really wanted. But again, you'd have to try pretty hard to get hooked on either of those. I just went out to my bumper and tried to get caught on the side step and was unable to make contact. You can't really tell in the pics, but the face the step comes out of is not vertical so if your leg is touching the top of the bumper it really can't contact the step itself.

Here is a pic that you can kind of get the perspective of how hard it would be to get caught on the step. You would really have to try and walk under the rear tire to make contact. They don't stick out much, the whole bumper wing is pretty tight into the truck.

I just went out to my truck and its even harder to make contact that I thought it would be. The face of the wing on the bumper is tapered in at the bottom and out at the top. This means that even if you was scraping your leg along the side of the truck for some weird reason, you will come in contact with the top of the wing before you can touch the step. In order to touch the step I had to put my leg under the truck...there is no way to do that at speed though.

Also, the corners on the step are pretty round...I cant see how you could cut anything with it short of head butting the corner with force.

Thank you to everyone who looked into that for me, I appreciate it.

Have you guys landed on a price for these bad boys yet. I'm in Utah and headed up to Boise this Summer for a trip and would not mind coming home with something new on the truck.

Pretty much. Going to be announcing all of it through email to those on our email list once our new site is all up and running and tested, etc. The "get on the list" link from the old site is no longer working, so if you want to "get on the list", send me a pm or something and I will be sure to get you sorted. Have a little more to do with finalizing things, then will be making an announcement. Close enough you can start holding your breath. And whether you decide the bumper is right for you or not, PLEASE stop by the shop when you come up here!
