I’ve got the first-to-production Wit’s End turbo kit installed on my rig. Willing to lend it to you for R&D purposes.
Not sure how I’d get it to you though.

It’s a Land Cruiser so unless it’s torn apart for upgrades it drives so sounds like a road trip is in order!

Pretty sure Johnny is well past R&D. At this point he has already sold and delivered more kits than Joey ever delivered.

He’s talking about upgrades around his existing setup not a complete rework. You probably aren’t wrong on your last statement but let’s not muddle this

Is it still running well? Other than the gas mileage and the urge to hear that turbo spool every where I go my kit has been great.

My oil temps are higher than water temps though, thought a Setrab oil cooler would be a good addition possibly.

Oil temp should be hotter than coolant. What is your oil temp readings? Operating oil temp is 230 and oil breaks down on average at mid 270s. If oil is running hot maybe it's your brand of oil. Cheap oil can break down their viscosity earlier than name brand oil. Or maybe your oil is too thick?

I’m running the OEM spec 5W30.

I was contemplating running a cooler between the turbo return line & return to oil pan. Would only have to create one hose from cooler to oil pan to accomplish it, assuming my WE return line is long enough to plumb to front cross member.

The issue I have is I don’t want to cool it too much. I have no engineering experience to decide on the size of a cooler.

I was super happy with my small fanned Setrab cooler on my 1835cc VW engine I installed.
But even that was a shot-in-the-dark purchase. I have no idea how much cooling surface area I’d need for our large oil capacity engine to bring it down another 30-40 degrees.

Oil drain needs to have zero restrictions. Like @bj70bc said better to figure out a different method.
