Over the last 6 months I had some trouble with sales people getting back with me. I needed a part that is no longer available and they had it so I decided to try again. My call started with the last 2 time I call you guys ....Then a quick reply with, Sorry you had problem in the past but I can assure you things have change, and they did. Fast response, a couple of pictures, and I was quoted and given a much lower price.

Your customer service is only as good as your worst personnel ....sounds like they cleaned a little house.

I recently bought something via ebay from them and it got to me faster than I thought possible. I've used them numerous times over the last 8+ years without issue. That's included returning/exchanging a cylinder head and exchanging a used alternator that crapped out a month or so after installation.

I just wish they would get rid of the cursive font in the 60 parts section. It's like buying parts from a Victorian novel or something!

You were happy with having to return those parts?

Not so fast. They still have some deadbeats working for them. I've been trying to buy a couple parts from them recently and it's been a nightmare.

Well if I buy a used alternator it's really a crap shoot. They weren't in anyway required to replace it but they did. As fpr the cylinder head, I had it hot tanked before it got rebuilt and they found a small hairline crack. Cruiserparts had a replacement heading my way very quickly.

I think there is always a bit of risk when you're buying used parts. If everything was perfect and would last forever, why would people by new stuff? They've always had great customer service and been easy to deal with so I will continue to use them in the future

I ordered my ARB bumper, lights and some other gear from them a few months back. It was way more difficult than it should have been to get everything sorted, but they did make it right in the end. Whoever posted above about making it fun to spend my money...I would say cp.net misses the mark on that one!

i have many storys about them. my arb purchase from them is a favorite.
looked at their new pruducts page, saw they had the best price on an 80 series arb front bumper. so called to check the price and availability, all was said to be good. a few days later i bought the bumper on line. about a week later i get a phone call saying that the bumper is more dollars and shipping is going to be more than they thought.....all of which was paid online. so at this point the bumper is now more than other vendors. i tell them i don't care about the price difference as that's their problem for not keeping the web site up to date. we finally agreed to split the difference in the shipping. in the end they did not split the shipping difference i got it all, and they did not have the bumper in stock.....it was drop shipped from a supplier in the pacific northwest.....i'm in pa.

at the time i was working not that far up the road from ipor, and had been thinking about just driving down to see them. still chaps my ass that i didn't just do that.

Just curious....
It just happened. It was my first time ordering from them. I was quoted a few items which included, "Roll Bar Corner Pads" and "Roll Bar Head Rest Pads", and I was to confirm what items I wanted to exactly order after I received pictures of each. After receiving photos a few days later, I finally confirmed my order by email, "Ok Zak. Just the 2 manual books and the head pads then ‎please.". Less than a week later, my order arrived, with my exact order but it included the Roll Bar Corner Pads, which I didn't want. I obviously replied back immediately, and indicated to Zak that there has been a mistake and he sent me the corner pads as well which I stated I just wanted the hear pads. He told me that I can return it by shipping it back and they will charge me with a restocking fee. I basically said there's no damn way that I would pay anything for it, as this was not my mistake. I shouldn't have to pay for shipping, restocking fee and corresponding brokerage fees as I did not order the item. I did not get anywhere with Zak and finally some guy named James replied back on Zak's behalf. Here is his email verbatim:

"Jay,
Headrest pads is a bit of an ambiguous statement as they are both headrest pads. The ones you are calling corner pads are technically so your head does not get crushed by the roll bar hoop in the front during a frontal impact. So they are head rest pads also.

You did not state cancel corner pads from the order. You said to send head rest pads and as we had no idea that you were cancelling either type of headrest pad then yes. You are responsible for shipping and restocking fees. It was not our fault. There is no way we could read your mind on what you were doing. We can put the credit on file as a full credit and then you will not need to eat any restocking fees.

Thank you.

Therefore, my instructions to simply order "2 manual books and the head pads" were not specific enough for James. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake he turns it around and blames the customer. He is a sleazy slime ball! Do not order anything from them or be vary cautious. As you can see, I am not the only one that has had issues with Cruiserparts.

I think thats pretty weak on their part. Why would they go to all that trouble to disappoint a customer over such a small item? That just seems stupid to me.

I called them looking for an 80 series gas door in 6m1. So the phone guy sends a dude up to the barn with a two way radio. I hear the guy say to the phone guy that they have one in dark green. The phone guy then tells me that they have one in dark green. Great I say, I'll take it.
A couple days later when it shows up I tear the box open, only to find a black one. Straight to the phone I go, happy and pleasant to try and get this straight. Guy that answers happens to be the same guy I talked to the first time. I explain the situation. He promptly tells me they don't guarantee the color of parts they send out and there's nothing they can do.
That was it, never again.

I emailed him to see what the status is, thinking his conscience got the better of him. Well no response and its been over a week. Great customer service as you can see. Just ignore the problem and everything will be alright!!!

I ordered a part for my fj60 and they sent a Fj40 part. I needed the part for repairs this weekend...
They are now saying the part is interchangable with my 60 even though Toyota makes 2 different parts.
They admitted the hose to be off by a couple inches but it will work. Well sorry I don't do crap repairs
Cruiserparts! I want what I ordered! I had to file a Paypal claim for that part of my purchase.

Stay away from Cruiserclowns!

Wow! Just wow! I totally see something like that happening to me. I wouldn't go down without a fight!

I don't know but that's exactly what they are doing to me. These guys are clowns!

Haha, that's some funny stuff right there! So much good Cruiserclown funnies they should be :ban: from our community!

So I went to install my tail light lenses I got from Cruiserparts and one was cracked. The package doesn't even contain
all the broke off pieces! It had to have happen before they shipped the package

Also went to install the thermostat they sent and it's a cheap aftermarket one. I paid $30 for a genuine Toyota one and they sent me a $15 aftermarket cheapo!

Probably need a spindle and found it listed there. Maybe not the best source tho....

Thanks for the heads up on this.

Overall I have had good experience with them but have found you have to be very specific to get what you want. Used expect rust and hope its not too much!

Thanks Deni. Good to hear that it is possible, kindasorta, to get decent service.

Proceed with caution I guess...
