Clothe

Really appreciate the feed back. I was steering towards the cloth and after sitting on both, the cloth are more comfortable. The leather looks better but i'd rather be comfortable.

Cloth 27 pounds lighter each seat more leg room & more Comfortable

Does anyone recall is the polyurethane foam bottom seat cushions are the same part number for driver and passenger?

I dig my leather - I did the leather conditioner/cover in trash bags ~48hrs & they’re still decent. No splits, just 1 seam coming unraveled a little.

And the dog jumps up on the back seat & it’s not pretty, but the leather is all still finctional - I keep his nails fairly well clipped.

I have fabric in the Tundra, and there’s a towel on the seat where he rides, but the hair is everywhere. Fine little hair (boxer), stubborn even to vacuum up.

I’ll get leather covers for it as soon as some money for that opens up. I’m for it.

Not sure how but the cloth in these wears like iron. 300k miles and 24 years of use with no tears or blemishes.

Cloth seats suck, I love my leather seats and will never change, Oh and I put a Cummins just to haul that extra 54# :flipoff2:

I have the best of both worlds, manual seats with leather. Tons lighter with new leather. Super comfy and easy to clean. What's not to like...:D

Well, they aren't woven out of the robust hair from a rare synthetic musk ox species that is only found in a small herd at the base of Mt. Fuji, for starters.

Beyond that, they probably cost a third of what I paid for my whole truck :hillbilly:

Wasn't far off 1/3 of what I paid for my truck. Lseat do a real nice line of leather made the hides of rare musk ox for about $300...:hillbilly:

The money is in the hair though. If you kill the musk ox and just try to use it's skin, you end up with the same problem that most 80s with leather already have. That's where they went wrong.

@ZackR is right. The cloth on the 80 is really stronk and somehow almost unblemishable. I drive with bath towels over mine, but they look almost as good I bet they did 24 years ago. It is an amazing upholstery product. It's like a billion double rub fabric.
