I love new parts. I bought new lenses and marker lights a long time ago for my old 60 but never put them on because I decided to wait for another 60 someday to use them on. Good thing for Chunk because it will get all the new stuff.

I don't know much, but I'm pretty sure Mr T didn't use wire nuts on the wiring so I grabbed a new assembly off of the parts 60.
Still needs the little metal pieces in the slots.

The gaskets and housings cleaned up super nice though

Tires are coming. After lots of thinking and indecision, I made the decision.
Yokohama 255/85r-16

Next decision is which wheel.

JDM 16x6? (Probability powder coated a steel grey metallic)

Factory 16x6 steel spoked? (with a nice metallic grey powder coat job)

Or

Wheel Vintiques 16x7 with a darker grey powder coat fitted with fj40 caps? (done a bit nicer than this one lol)

I am heavily leaning towards the WV wheels as that was the original plan. Not 100% though.

Didn't know the Vintiques wheels are made in China. They are beefy wheels and I have had them for a while and like them. Still the China thing does kinda suck.

The stock aluminum wheels on my wife's 2013 4Runner are stamped China.

These came from a 70 series out of Japan.
16x6 but they look like the 15x6 US 4runner wheel

That's like every newer GM wheel I see in the powder coat shop. Either "Made in China" or "Made in Mexico". Like a Rock baby

Reviews around the web say WV advertise the wheels as made in the USA, but the wheels show up in boxes that say made in China. Not the end of the world, but I believe the OEM are higher quality.

I got my new Yokohama 255/85-16 tires in a couple of days ago and got a chance to powder coat my Wheel Vintiques 16x7 wheels and mount the tires up.

This is Prismatic Powders "Kingsport Grey" basecoat

And Prismatic "Matte Clear" topcoat

I threw the wheels on and pulled Chunk into the yard for a quick photo op. Still riding way high on the back but lots of weight to add too so we shall see how the springs end up.
I did pictures with no hubcaps and with caps

I like both about the same, really.
