Here's a big win- I got a set of SOR sliding windows with my new to me red 60 series and knew right away they were going into Chunk. I will say they are TOUGH to install. I had to beat the window opening lips back to take the curve out, that was unnerving. A hammer and a wood dowel did it pretty easily really and all paint marring is under the gasket. My daughter Lizzy leaned on the window while I roped it in. I'm pretty wore out but it looks pretty good. It will need a little headliner fixing up but it's not coming back out!

Nice! I think my wife and I took about three tries to get the back window in correctly. It kept sliding as the rope was getting pulled.Lizzy helped me get the other side window and rear window in today

I think I lucked out getting it first try. After those sliding windows it seemed like a piece of cake!Nice! I think my wife and I took about three tries to get the back window in correctly. It kept sliding as the rope was getting pulled.![]()
Those windows are killer Pat. Can’t tell you how many parts I’ve robbed out of other cruiser purchases for my main blue 60. Can’t wait to see it this August.Lizzy helped me get the other side window and rear window in today

They're a little weird because the opening part is in the forward part but I think I can still reach into my fridge ok.Those windows are killer Pat. Can’t tell you how many parts I’ve robbed out of other cruiser purchases for my main blue 60. Can’t wait to see it this August.
That's a big strike to having a snorkel! I love turbo whine. The truck has a small dynomax straight through muffler. I guess I will see how it sounds. On my old 24 valve Cummins Dodge(that I miss very much), it had a straight pipe and was super loud, but super awesome.Buddy is going to love those sliders!
You should delete the muffler, you really don’t need it. I’m not running one on Samson.
Also the amount of turbo whine you hear will be determined by your inlet filtering. On Samson with just a K&N on the inlet I can here the turbo constantly. But with my snorkel plumbing in place I cannot hear the turbo at all.
Great demo of sliding window and what it does
