So let me get this straight, Dave & Dave, you are going to buy the 3000 and drop it off here. You'll buy all the parts and I'll work on it here and you guys can come help. When done it lives here and you can come and drive it any time you like. Works for me :)

Reality is, the last thing I personally need is another project. I have 3 as it is. And when the mountain property sells I will also have a barn to build. I have enough projects to last till death.

Hijack continued...

Okay Stan. We'll let you out of our timeshare arrangment. Dave and I will split it 50/50. Rafael and JohnVee met my uncle last year at the visitation for my mom. I'm sure he bent their ear about the Healey he likes to work on which he got at an auction raising money for a school. See pic below. I am sure he would be willing to lend a hand with it.

Jason, I'm ready to drive up with cash as soon as you give the info.

Hijack off.

You are killing me Dave... That is beautiful even with the later bumper rubber thingies. The one I found was maroon, I still want a red or blue one, just need to stretch it by 15% to fit.

I don't have digits so I'm not holding out on you guys. Just spied on side of road with sign in the window. Really wanted my pops to say yes as he had a sprite, mg a, couple bs, a TD a triumph and a few others growing up. It was a silver 63 is all I recall. Am heading back up today or tomorrow so will swing by if I have time for the long way to the project.

Got UHaul on speed dial for the trailer rental...
No need. I'll donate the use of my refurbished aluminum flatbed car hauler if the timing is good ....

build her the kit car version John. It'll be cheaper in the long run and run better. One thing about BL you learn from owning them is the wrench turning never ends

Yeah, but I absolutely loved mine. If I were to truly want to get back into a 3000 I would go the kit car route I believe. The suspension and running gear on the OEM units is no great shakes and always an issue. The electrical system is pure crap "Lucas Electric, Prince of Darkness" THe fun factor is over the top and that is what keeps you driving one. But if you think a Land Cruiser requires a lot of love, you aint seen nothin!!

In my best obi wan kanobi voice..

This is not the healey you're lookin for.

But I did find it parked in a far corner of an ingles parking lot. Saves the door dings on black primer

Okay, since this is beyond hijacked, here's my short story with Sprite, 25 seconds into lap. The the next victim is a legends car.

CMP has 14 turns in 2.25 miles, I like my StopTechs on 4 corners pumping hard. I don't have the intestinal fortitude to do that kind of driving if my car had those old British wooden brakes! My hats off to you sir. Seen plenty of Mustangs light up flames after a few laps.

That is a bug eyed Sprite, not a 3000
