What kind of BOV ( brand ) are you using . ?
 
No, not really all that great. If you want some good sound you probably need to be releasing more than 6lbs. You could look into a BOV with and adjustable spring tension. I had a Greddy Type-S on my Miata and it sounded pretty "crisp".

so did u ever run it w/o a turbo or an intercooler? i think i may only have enough resourses to do the 2fe then in a couple months after turbo and intercooler.

what do u think of it so far? if you could do it again would you? or would you do another swap?

No this engine is been built to be Turbo'd from the start and should be installed and running early Jan at a cost in excess of $10,000Aus but then again it's a full race engine for winch challenges.

I thought I must do .. when I'm boosting more than 12 PSI I get a heavy spike about 2PSI .. when I'm over 15 PSI :eek:
 
Chineese knockoff external wastegate. This unit is a whole lot more consistent than the traditional internal setup.

hey akarilo, have you thought about about using SAFC for tuning? I've built several budget turbo car and this project seem like what I've done before. I would get bigger injector and use safc to get the AFR that needed. Its safer than FMU.

Look at the first page of the thread. The FMU went bye bye long ago. I'm running a split second additional injector controller which is programmed via laptop, with a wideband setup for reference.
 
Forgot about this, how did the stainless weld to the mild steel exhaust?

I actually ordered mild steel flanges and welded them to the manifold and downpipe. The stainless flange just bolts to the mild flange.
