Your current options for air are:
...
CO2 bottle- What a few of has have/had but its kind of a pain to get it filled now. The plus side is you can move it around as needed.
...
York OBA- true On Board Air system that will last as long as the truck does. Infinite amounts of air without ever running out...so long as the truck is running. Don't need a tank but the tank does help things.

It's not as black and white as you make it sound. (And this is coming from someone that's had a York 210 for 7+ years.) Yes, if you're looking to fill tires at the end of a trail the York does an excellent job. But if you also want to run air tools like die grinders and drills for doing trail repairs, a CO2 bottle does a much better job because the York just can't keep up with the volume of air required for these tools. I'm not saying not to go forward with the bracket and pulley kit, but rather just that folks need to understand that the York is not the end all to your compressed air needs.

Oh agreed and I come from the CO2 side since I can't run a York BUT...I have run out of CO2 while on a trip and it was embarrassing because I didn't verify before the trip. Having a constant source of air eliminates that.

What about us 3FE folks? Still no love?

Why not use a toyota compressor?

It needs to be a compressor that is a self-lubricating unit. In most A/C systems the lubricant oil flows with the freon. The York 210 and 209 and IIRC at least one Sanden are the only self-contained oiling compressors. The compressor isn't creating a looped flow. It's literally just compressing air from the environment to the environment.

Well I do oil mine manually. I have been using a toyota compressor for years, I just oil it now n then by pulling the intake hose off and putting a few drops in-I guess I could run a oiler if I wanted. It cranks pretty good-I run air tools pretty hard with it, its like having shop air. I have to have the engine rps at about 2000rpm though to run air tools.

Likely don't run it enough to even need to oil it too often.

I am in as well. Love the idea of not burning up a bunch af amps with a high output electric compressor. Plus a 100% duty cycle without a bunch of heat and noise!

Depending on time frame I might be in. Need a little time to save some dough. Subscribed.

What tanks (brand/size/capacity) can be used with an OBA system like this and where do most people mount it?

Wow, just after spending weeks in the shop at night fab'ing and welding a york bracket.... The unobtianuim rises from the dead. I am just down to needing the pulley (and I won't ask lol)

There are tons of options on Amazon. Pretty much any aluminum or steel tank will work so long as it has an input and output port, bung for blow off and a drain. Size depends on where it gets mounted but it seems like the 2.5gallon seems to be the most common. It can be mounted behind the winch, on the DS frame rail, above the spare tire area.

Yeah, I would need to fulfill orders first but I will try to make extras.
