Started practicing with my Caswell kit on parts nobody else will see, but need corrosion protection. Would like them a little brighter.

Is this the right configuration for the cylinders on the passenger side rear? Top adjuster on the front side. (Right side of pic is towards the front)

I do not recall proper configurations, it's been too long since I've had drums.
I do recall that you should apply an anti-sieze on the adjuster threads AND on the outside of the alloy adjuster where it sits in the cast iron cup of the cylinder. Those dissimilar metals interacting will eventually make adjusting difficult. A judicious slathering (i like the silver stuff with the brush in the can lid) will make brake adjusting quick and precise for generations to come.

If the leaf spring is obstructing access to the adjuster hole, it is in the correct orientation.😜
 
Thanks guys! Spring blocking adjuster hole, check. @Pighead, that anti-seize should come with a disposable suit, gloves and booties, it gets everywhere. Good thing it's easy to wash off.
 
Need a smarter brain than mine, what’s the easiest way to bend this clip down so it stays in place? I removed the old ones to paint this and wish I hadn’t.

Large channel lock pliers, then a couple of taps with the hammer worked for me. Nice work BTW.

The channel locks are a superior method because as they lever against the side of the hub housing during the initial bend, they take all the slack out of the clip.

I have a special pair of channel lock pliers that I ground part of the backside of the outer jaw off; they work extra good for these kind of jobs.😉

Thanks @firemanj92 & @65swb45, that did it. Finally done with the clutch. Next up, my boat anchor that I picked up for free about 8 years ago.

It's coming along nicely!! A little smear/coating of FIPG (orange/brownish#1281) to both sides of gasket. BTW it can be a pain in the rear to stab the trans shaft into motor/bellhousing so be patient (but you have not cab in place 🤞 which will help!!
 
Thank you @firemanj92 , picked up that FIPG and got the nose cone and top shifter cover installed. Found out I may have lost another thing, does anyone know the part number for the spacer? I can't find mine.

Is it my imagination, or are there no lock washers under those shiny bolts?😱
 
I'd bet you would be ok with removing one bolt at a time, putting in place a split washer then torqueing to spec.
Thanks @firemanj92 , that’s exactly what I did. I think I got too excited about putting it together that I skipped a step.
