Looks like Bonnie going to get upgraded.

Crawled under her short while ago noted multiple leaks starting from tranny and overdrive. So reached out to @Pigeaten. I was very impressed with Steve when he stopped by for the night. Apparently @RUSH55 was a fan also when he drove Steve from what Don said.

Just got off phone with Steve from Northwest design. Looking at what cost difference between new GM motor versus used depending on what can be found. Use rebuilt H55 I have here in shop. Install AC and updated dash gauges. He said he felt he could start on her end of October.

I know that the SBC with TBI and ranger OD with 4 speed treated Jim and Bonnie well through the years but I just feel it’s best for Kim and I to happily utilize Bonnie like we want we need to modernize her.
This sounds like an awesome project!

And now it starts, will mail check tomorrow to Steve in Houston

LS3 crate motor, 430hp
High mount accessory drive
Rear sump oil pan
GM ECU and harness.

Steve feels like he will have motor by time he can start on Bonnie in 6 weeks or so.

I don't know how to post pictures in a PM so I'll do it here..
I have a PSI and a factory harness with a PSI programed computer.

I'm not going to use it so make me an offer and I'll box it up

Not sure if threads can be merged. But just gonna post some paint porn from Clyde I just got.

Dang it’s been slow, I’m told shooting for oct. 4th or so to pick up.

Says tailgate was kinda a biatch to put back together, which inside I said yeah no shyt. But he was successful and reports it works.

However painting rest of Clyde next week. I really want to see the roof painted.

Progress looks great from the pics. Paint and bodywork are slow if you want good results.
At least you can say things are happening and it’s not just sitting in a corner buried dust and parts from from other projects.
I think Clyde has been there many times, put to the side that is.

I always say Quality over Quantity, this time being length of time to finish this project.

When I delivered Clyde a long time ago I was able to drive it up on gooseneck. Now fella who has it reports he isn’t sure it can do that. So searching for a winch mounting bracket to install on the tilt trailer I have.

Why?
WHY??!!
Great question, it has run rough a few times with him over last 3 years but he has had Clyde for over 3 years so it has sat a lot. Mailing check for new battery to him in couple hours.

Preparing for the worse case scenario.

What’s stinks is I drove that around the valley 3 on the tree and all prior to delivery.

Throw 2 cans of Sea Foam in the tank. Seriously.

Then put however many gallons of fresh fuel it takes to fill it up.
I’m sea foam believer, put can in last week when driving to town.
That’s exactly what I intend on doing.
