I’ve actually never seen the inside of one of these. Lots going on.

I’m so ready to get this ridiculous Aussie locker out of this thing, if the Auburn works at all when needed I’ll be happy.

Now I have to nut up and change it out.

I really hate changing 3rd members now that I’m Old.

When pulling it use a taped up cardboard box as a crash pad.

That’s a good idea because catching it is for the birds.

Plus I plan on running it up on my 4 ramps to make being under there nicer.

I had to do this recently on my 40 because I messed up and did not seat my pinion back after adding a new seal/flange. It was exactly zero fun

My fedex guy was very happy I was home to unload these

One for Ole Blue and one for my 4Runner.

I don’t always buy Chinese built winches but when I do they say Warn

The control box on these things are movable but I could not find a good spot with the stuff I had in the shop so I put it back as it was and you don’t see it.

I winched it up a hill to get the spool tight.

I kind of like the clean look with no controller showing

Nice,

I had a 10K VR on my FJcruiser and converted it to synthetic line. Never gave me any trouble.

Will you keep the wire cable or convert?

Cable until it kinks up. I have lots of experience with rope. It’s fine. Easy to deal with but there is nothing wrong with cable as long as you know what’s what when winching.

I agree wire rope is fine and I used it for years. Safety is the only reason why I switched.

The Old style VR10,000S was what I picked due to the appearance. I need to mov the controller to a better spot though. The new one looks good with the controller hidden, with it on top it looks like it belongs on a Jeep.

nice setup, was wondering if the vr10 was a straight bolt on? I have the newer style ARB and want to add a vr10s but not sure if any mods are needed. Thanks
