Getting to Dissent gets me south of I80 which gets me into the Sierra. I grabbed another track off my page I’ve been using called the Tahoe backcountry track. It’s awesome. I absolutely love the Sierras.

Woke up at first light and made it back to the track I was following west toward Lava Beds National Monument. I’m a NP/NM nerd so if I’m close to one I’m going. Lots of beautiful pine forests. This is the first BDT track that I’ve actually seen...

I was chatting with the @RustyNailJustin race team members while visiting their shop in Ouray. They shared it’s a great tire that has held up to tough conditions.

BFGs or Maxxis Treps as far as durability. We just finished and ended up getting 2nd place in class at the Mexican 1000 on BFGs with zero flats. And NORRA must suck at counting cause the race was 1408 miles!

Fj ran good the whole time, other than plugging a fuel filter headed up Imogene. Nice guy in a 83 Toyota tube buggy drug me up to a flat spot so I could crawl under and figure it out. Thanks to Brian and Tony for coming back for me!

The SAS wagon made it home to Amarillo today around 3:30. 100 ° in a soft top 40 is so worth the week of wheeling and camping with all you Knuckleheads. Had an excellent week thanks to all of you. Will be playing dead for at least two days here...
