That 55 fan 100% in there cools like a fool tho
That's just luck. It will move more air if the blade tips are exposed so it can spill airflow outward as well as back.

It’s pretty amazing how good this thing rides with brand new fully arched springs and with the front shackles at the wrong angle. I can’t wait to play with the settings on these shocks and get the shackle angle right.

Im getting some Ubolt flip kits from @lcwizard and when they come in I’ll dissect that front leaf pack then dial it it. More on that by the end of next week.

Sorry, I've been too busy to follow lately but if you want to know a little trick to reduce friction between the leaves cut some 14 or 16 gauge galvanized sheet metal shims 2 1/2 wide x about 5 or 6" long with a 3/8" hole in the middle. Put one between each leaf with the center pin passing through. Combined with the pads at the ends of each leaf there will be an gap
over the length of each leaf so they won't rub against each other during flex. Parabolic springs use this idea. It's one of their claims to fame

I’ll have to try that one day....

Took the 60 to town on the interstate and the new driveshaft is money. Zero vibs. Pumped.

I pulled it out to get a photo with R2D2 and decided it would be a good time to test the tint versus non tint
It’s only 70* in the shade but these two have been baking for 2 hours in it.

Non tint

18* maybe? So 15% heat reduction. I think that’s about as advertised.

Love Blue's new stripes. These 2 rigs are too good.

Long Range Automotive Tank Install
I’m waiting on parts to get my lift cleared to install the last few parts for the latest round of Blue upgrades so I went ahead and prepped the shiny new Long Range Automotive tank

LRA tank install. I could not find any info so I just had to wing it off the one page of instructions

First thing is to add all the provided bungs for the vents on each corner

Since I’m I’m using an in tank pump I plugged the pick up and return

Next I peeled back the new carpet and chose a good spot for the inspection cover to fit and then used that to decide where to install the in tank pump

Authors note. Although this is a nice clean spot in the floor to install the trap door to seal it nicely but it turns out I did not plan for the super long fuel sender extension. More on that later

Hole drilled. Also, don’t have your drill on lock when using a bike

I picked a spot 7” to the rear of the sending unit because it was center of tank and also the door location as I said before.
Needs to be about 12” down range to clear the sending float. Measure this on your tank to be sure.

After you drill you need to vacuum and use a magnet to get all the shavings out

For street creds Mosley Motors sends a Denso pump with the in tank pump.

Set up your pump and return as the instructions say. Easy.

Beno sent a new sending unit. Gasket and new screws.

Because I did not play the extension into my planning I ended up having to put a bend in it. That will likely make my gauge less accurate so make sure you put your in tank pump far enough down range to not have to do this.

Soon as my lift gets cleared I’ll stuff this big bastard in Ole Blue.

I wish I had added 80mil Kilmat to the top of the tank. I used a 62 pump bracket with the pump zip tied to a metal hanger. It transfers the pump noise probably more so than yours will with the pump insulated a bit by being mounted to the plastic return line. I don't know if Kilmat will help much but it couldn't hurt.

I ordered a box of Noico to do the floor back there. I really thought I had done it when I did the @dnp carpet.

The rubber gasket this pump uses as with the plastic tubes makes it super quiet. I’ve run them in other wagons and I can’t hear it.

RIP to your old man bladder.
I’m was professionally trained by the US Air Force to use a piss bottle ...... I need that for 24 gallons 😬

Still waiting on parts to get this *^#%^%#!! FJ45 off my lift so I decided to lay down the Noico and put in the inspection door into the FJ60 floor.

Another massive F up putting the In Tank pump where I did (other than getting in the way of the sending unit float) is that the body mount channel goes right through this spot 🤡

Goid thing I’ll only have to chop out a portion of it to clear the return port.

Learn by my mistakes......

I use 80 mil. One layer. It’s plenty. Makes the most difference in the doors and side panels. The DNP kit comes with nice thick jute
