Swapped spots in the shop with the Warthog yesterday. This morning the floor was full of water from all the ice packed under the 60.

I am about to start a series of upgrades on Ole Blue and have been collecting parts for her for a few months. Most all of them are at the farm now and I’m going to start a few of them this week. This weekend we are hoping to pull the motor out of the Milk Jug 60 in my shop so I can’t do it all before then. Stay tuned.

Couple of small things I did this am before my conference calls .... some underhood rubber from Beno.

The long needed hood strut upgrade. Two M8 Nutzerts at the top and factory bolts on the bottom. Easy. Can’t believe I waited so
Long to do this

Look along the top of my tailgate.....Wagon Gear sells this little weatherstrip that goes along the top that takes all the slack out of the lift gate. I’ve done everything I could to get rid of that rattle and never had luck. This should do the trick. It really takes a slam to close now.

I've done the hood bumpers. I plan to do the hood lift struts (you have a part number for the struts you've used?) And, what SWEET hatch seals! I never knew those existed.....gonna get some coming now!

Two per pack. I drilled the holes in the hood 1.5” above the factory hole there for the rivnut

Man, looks like the hatch seals are now sold out for a while. I’ve got that same pesky squeak from the rear hatch.

Noico
When I did the fresh DNP carpet (superb upgrade) I laid Noico on all the floors but never did the walls. I broke out the heat gun and am working my way around the truck.

This passenger rear door has never been cracked open. I hate cutting these dust seals but I tape them back. They really work. Backsides and inner doors were full of dust.

Ive had these Wagon Gear storage compartments for 12 years. Fine product. I glued back a little of the tiny weatherstrip when I finished.

if you need a sticker it’s too complicated....

That where the cricket comes from?? I hate that noise.

Gotta be. I literally did every other Mud hack and trick and it was still there. This made it where I have to super slam it to close. Gonna be great!

Funny thing, I remember the brand new 60's I grew up in making the same noise. I always assumed it was just the truck.

I haven't noticed the squeak, but it always seemed odd looking at that edge. Seemed unfinished considering the rest of it.

My big project got postponed due to shipping Being shut down for ice this week so I just enjoyed having Ole Blue in the warm dry shop doing small things.

The blue paint got a deep polish and wax with the Griots orbital today.

She’s for sure a fine 15’ er......

Cowboy is a she. Was a stray so they nick the ear so you can tell they are fixed.

The Vet let us know the gender change but there is no changing names around here

400 mile run up to the Jacks Fork area of southeast Missouri for the weekend

Had a header collector gasket take a s*** as I tried to push a passing lane at 4000 rpm. Otherwise she’s purring and pawing along just fine.
