bought this battery but the posts are on the wrong side. Tried putting it in backwards and the cables don’t reach either way.

Any easy solution ? Or return?

Yes, that’s likely the right answer. No sense in rigging something to work.

Upgrading your cables isn't a bad idea at all, and making/getting them a couple of inches longer so they will work with pretty much any battery is no big deal.

But I agree that the easiest answer is to get the proper battery.

Keep it and put in a dual battery system

If you're extending battery wires, be aware that potential short circuits are a fire hazard. Not a lot of good things can happen in these scenarios. Best bet, get the proper group 24 battery. Around here, people are happy with Northstar AGM units.

This battery looks a little scary to me. That toyota battery hold down is connected to the steel body of the truck and it is mighty close to your positive terminal. In fact it appears to be touching your positive terminal, is the only thing currently preventing a short on your battery the plastic liner on the toyota hold down?

I have got to be missing something, RFB I just dont believe you would have a set up that sketchy.

Hell, I shouldn't be talking. I have extended battery cables and a backwards battery also. I just couldn't stand to run my setup comfortably with the oem hold down so I used the LCP style hold down for peace of mine.

Hey there, this is exactly what I need. Do you know where I can order a set? I've been looking all over online. Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
The links wont seem to load for me. :(

The server at remybattery.com is taking too long to respond.
