@LandCruiserPhil since you're having supply issues, have you considered offering this as an "install kit" minus the actual fan, rather than as a "complete kit" (or offer both)? That way, individuals could source their own fan (ie salvage yard or local C/L 100 series part out).

I installed a similar setup in my 76 40 Series with the LS1. I had it switched with constant power so I could leave it on to reduce heat soak (like LCP). It also came on automatically at 195 degrees.
I think this would be a good idea for an 80 Series. Especially if you live in a warm climate.

Got mine installed. Still need to tidy up the wiring, but when I add my second battery I will take the fenders off and be doing lots of rerouting then.
I sanded about a 32nd of an inch off the bezel of the switch so now it sits sunken in and seated nicely.

Hope to keep 2018 pricing ($250) for the complete plug n play kit.
Moded fan clutch and seal all the gaps between the radiator and frame with weatherstripping. I have had my truck for 16 years and a modded clutch for more than 12. It wasn’t until I went through with weatherstripping, that my A/C went from ok went moving and not keeping the truck cool when in traffic on 100f+ days to working well. I now see vent temps in the low 40s on the freeway and high 50s in stopped traffic. Before the vent temps would creep up to the mid 70f range in stopped traffic.
I have the fan kit but only use it now to help with heat soak, i.e., getting gas on hot days I will leave it on so the AC gets colder faster when restarting.

As we prepare for our 80 series 2019 Aux Fan season I will attempt to address a common question I get, How does compare to the JDM?
•••IMPORTANT•••
Adding an auxiliary fan will help your cooling system while sitting in traffic or low speed wheeling. It will also help keep your A/C blowing cold in the same conditions. We tested several OEM fans from various manufacturers and choose a stock 100 series fan. We found that other aftermarket fans do not move much air and are typically smashed up against the condenser with a plastic zip ties that can cause damage. The 100 series A/C system (prior to 2004) is one of the best. The fan seems to move as much air as the costly JDM (~$300) and is quieter. As for size, some of the larger after market fans seem to block air flow more than help. The main reason our fan is mounted low to provide as much natural air as possible and increase the flow where it is block currently. When mounted, the fan or bracket does not touch the condenser. We have tested and run this exact set up for a few years and found it very solid without any issues.
If your Land Cruiser is overheating, THIS FAN OR ANY FAN WILL NOT HELP.
Flow was measured using an Anemometer ft/min
