Just need to finish the swing out jerry can holder and decide on what I'm going to do with the rear winch.

A few pics of this mornings progress. Had to get going on a front for a customer.

damn i just need ONE haha

I am digging the hell out of this design. Any plans for quarter panel protection?

that has got to be the best rear bumper design I have seen. the quarter wings look like they belong there.

Thanks Crusher, I just think it looks WRONG when that armor line is off of the body line , looks just thrown on there.... NOW I need that piggie to add to the arsenal of armor builds...

I may see if Pablo will let me stop by his place in Fort Collins for measurements and IDEAS if I don't get a donor or my own soon....

What he ^^ said, that looks like it's meant to be there. Just right IMHO. Now I wish I had a 60 to put one of them on...maybe I'll start looking for a HJ61...

doubt he'll have any problems with that!

This bumper looks fantastic, Reevesci. I like how the quarter guards follow the truck's lines and that you have it supported off the frame. The horizontal contoured inserts to close out the OEM bumper end indentations in the quarter panel are a particularly nice touch.

A few questions:

Are the quarter support posts to the frame picking up existing fastener holes or are installers drilling new? The Phoenician's install thread implied drilling new holes was necessary.

Do you have any pictures of your bumper installed higher where it matches the OEM placement?

What effect would a higher mounting (I believe you said 1.5" without the hammock mounts) have on the interface between the bumper and the quarter guards? Pictures of a built unit would be fantastic if you have them.

Would it be any trouble to extend the 1/2" frame mount forward beyond the crossmember so that more fasteners could be used in addition to the 3 aft of it? My vehicle has the ears of the OEM crossmember fully removed instead of cut off and I would plan on replacing the rivets on the aft most body mounts.

Thank you.

Unfortunatley, the PO welded up every opening on my frame rails... SO , yes, drilling is required for the frame to 1/4 protection.... My body seems to be lifted a tad (approx.. 1/2")... I am 1-3/4" from bottom of gate to top of bumper. Patrick's is 1-5/16"-same area...

Here is mine.

Frame mounts can easily be extended to include the inner 2 holes for 5 total. I have been thinking of doing this.. Just more work on the endusers workload.

Also want to say that the gap between the swing out and the bumper is that massive because the arm wasn't fully seated. So just imagine it pushed down all the way haha

No no.... I think we have decided that you need to get a 70 series (preferably with a diesel and 4doors) of course this may be a selfish request... I mean the way that the import article on Expedition Portal made it sound, you basically can walk across the boarder, grab one and drive it home with little to no issues (be it a 90 or older)!!!! I mean come on J, I know you need a trip up to Manitoba or BC or something!

Yup and the round eye, 4door version. Man I have suddenly fallen in love with those trucks and that will definitely be something that will be in my quiver one of these days. Thing is that the wife likes the Mercedes G series (toaster oven) trucks, I think I could convince her to like one of these as well.
