Very nice man, your cruiser looks awesome! Will you be able to use the factory brake lines with that setup?
I upgraded the brake lines when I did the SOA and motor swap.

Due for an update.
Took my kids to Inn at the 7th Mountain for Father’s Day weekend. What a great time playing disc golf, put put golf and checking out Tumalo Falls.

Headed to the property for solo trip to decompress from life. 5 day get away. Went fishing at Miller Lake 25 miles from the property. This lake is known to produce state record German Brown Trout that feed on the abundant Kokanee which is a landlocked Sockeye Salmon. You find the Kokanee schools and chances are you’ll find a German Brown. Fished all day. Caught a nice Kokanee and then fly fished the shore for Rainbow trout.

Mt. Thielsen the Lightning Rod of the Cascades. 9,184’ Summit I plan on a summit trip on of these times.

With the full moon the Browns have been feeding at night in the lakes abundant Kokanee. This lake is open 24 hours for fishing. May need to do a night fishing trip.

How did the rest of the brake swap go? Big difference in braking performance?
Noticeable difference.

Friday just did work around the property burning and watering.

After dinner took Drive out to the Klamath Marsh to watch the sunset.

Saturday decided to hike Yamsey Mountain 8,196’ summit. The drive was 35 miles from the Crater Lake property on the east side of the Klamath Marsh. There once was a fire Lookout tower on the summit but has been removed😫. The road used to go to the summit but the Forest Service closed the last 3.5 miles with 1600’ elevation gain. The road is being overgrown to the trailhead.

Found an urn along the trail back to the 60…

This is what I really love about the Speedhut gauges is it has an altimeter. The elevation at the trailhead, 6663’ and the summit of Yamsey Mountain is 8,196’.

The Klamath Marsh at the Williamson River.
Yamsey Mountain is the mountain I’d just summited behind the 60.

Didn’t take 60s pics at the trailhead. Stream exploration up S. Fork of the Salmon River. Found a great pool with natural water slide.
If only it they were longer and steeper.

Soooo where do I begin…. Call it a mid-life crisis. My wife and I’ve been struggling and it’s been killing me. We had a family camp trip and she wanted us to drive separate and sleep separately… we’ve been on a “therapeutic separation” for over 70 days. No idea what started this. But as time goes on I know now it’s something inside her. I’ve done a lot to change and still working on myself. As time went on I realized I can do nothing. She needs to decide on her own what she wants.
We family camped at friends from churches 80 acre property east of Elgin, Oregon and on the boarder to the Eagle Cap Wilderness.

This was a full day before my family arrived.

Family got there and had a great time with my kids and friends on the property. Rode quads and bikes. Played in the pond. Caught crawdads in the creek and fly fished and caught trout in the pond. Found an old model A buried in the stream.

As someone who has been through tough times in relationship as well don’t be afraid to reach out.

It’s even tougher with kiddos involved.

That’s why I decided to post my story. We all see these threads and have no backstory. I fully believe in being honest about who we are and our struggles in life. When we hide we blind ourselves but when we expose who we are and what’s going on it frees us! Nobody is better than anybody else.

On Monday my buddy James and I drove 1.5 hours from the property to Moss Springs Trailhead above Cove, Oregon. Our destination was historic Minam River Lodge and Red’s Horse Ranch. Starting elevation was near 6,000’. We planned a day trip so out and back. The trip starts with the 3,000’ decent and return back is all uphill.
