Sell it to Mike and get rid of the temptation! LOL!
“That’s it... I had it with this dump... we’ve got no food... we’ve got no jobs... our pets heads are falling off!!!”

What about a Super HX30.

Had time to put down the weather stripping I bought to put along the sides of the hood. Cleaned surface and heated with blow dryer.

Went on and stuck very nicely.

Looks like it’s factory

FWIW, I've had a Super HX30 for a number of years. I believe it to be the best single turbo you can run on a 4bt. Spools fast, great top end boost.

Great this is info that I’m looking for. Thanks Johnny

Ahh, the temptation of power...
25psi would be sweet. I’m running a ct26 at just above factory at 10psi in my 13BT. Going to 15 soon, then turning up fuel, then I’ll need an inter cooler, then might as well methanol injection, then compounds, then.... :D

For another datapoint, my Super HX30w hits ~25psi before 2000rpm under load, and maxes out around 38psi around 3500rpm if running hot (1400*+) with a load. That's with stock (rebuilt) 4bt injectors, dynamic timing advance, #2 fuel pin, timing barely bumped, low pressure piston lift pump (15psi at the head) and a large intercooler.

She's a screamer.

I can get 28psi boost in 4th, very happy but it is that more power temptation. Yesterday was sunny and nice and I don’t have smoke issues so I could turn up the fuel too. Tuning the injection pump some more will be the next step.
I also noticed my throttle cable stops at a point and thought the pedal was bottomed out but when I romped on the pedal it actually went further with more power and boost yesterday in 3rd.

@Hojack is that for sound deadening purposes? Also where did you pick it up?

sweet. The aftermarket for 4BT and tuning it is awesome. Boost a little more and it feels great for a few days...then I could sure use more power!

After looking into why I’d occasionally have a jump in boost and power I looked at my throttle cable.

Here it was at idle.

This is when I thought it was at full throttle.

This is when I would press the accelerator hard enough or the cable would line up just right and pull into the protective cable sleeve gaining me the additional power.

Moved the bracket toward the cab so when the accelerator pedal gets pressed the cable cannot have the connection get caught at the end of the protective shield.
Drove it home and what a difference.

Shouldn't the metal part be inside the protection part at all times... instead of the actual cable being exposed to the elements or am i missing something. We use these same cables in monster trucks and pro mega trucks

Maybe it should but it works great now and it’s under the hood protected from elements.
