I was just thinking that you were a well guy and it might be too late..
One thing I’ve learned about water wells is to expect the unexpected. Same here on my first swap. Learned a lot and still have a lot to learn.

New Toyota coolant water control valve showed up today. Old one was in need of replacement. Never leaked before swap but with all the work in the engine bay it does now. Good time to install a new one.

Engine sounds sweet. Looks awesome too. I read through the first few pages then skipped to the end for the surprise video.
I know nothing of engines other than the 2F. So much to think about! The guy who I’ve used to powdercoat a few parts is building a hot rod from a 1940’s truck cab w/ a mustang V8 engine. I’ve stopped by a few times when I see the shop door open and I’m amazed at the building from nothing up. Total mindscrew, steering linkage won’t fit w/ oil filter so that’s gotta get moved, fabricating his own motor mounts, so many things to consider. I’ll grab a photo next time.
It would be cool to start a thread on engine swaps for the 60/62’s and add it to the stickies. I see folks thread, LV, 4B... yada yada, forgive my ignorance but they make no sense. Maybe I’ll start it, feel free to add the basics of yours to it.
How’s the engine vibration like some mentioned early on? I’ll go read back to see how oil pan fit w/ the axle, ect.

I always wanted a cheesy hood ornament for my truck. I’ve perused the web off and on for years.
Pretty sweet digs for wrenching in.
I liked the Unimog and the hood ornaments the best at their collection. A lot of interesting cars and things to see. The tires with non skid as the tread pattern made me laugh.

Yeah those were pretty funny.

Stock crossmember was custom fabricated and installed. Engine, transmission and transfer case are resting on the frame. The crossmember will get removed now that it works and get painted. Fuel lines connected. Injector lines cleaned up and painted and installed. The 5 speed shifter lines up exactly in the factory location. The 4WD linkage still needs some more modifications as I mentioned above. But it’s getting closer to starting.

What bushing did you use to the crossmember. Is it bolted into the adapter?
