Just really quality work here.

I really do like seeing the small details, the small points that you guys are spending time on that make the difference.

These types of things are what distinguish great shops from just your regular "hey, let's throw a junkyard engine into a Land Cruiser."

Who is forged specialties? Is this the same Vince that used to work at IPOR? Vince was the guy that finally figured out the wiring to my old 55, guy is definitely wiring smart.

Yep. It's the same Vince. He and I(Nathan) left Iron Pig Offroad to start our own shop.

Vince, Nathan:
This is an awesome build. I was reading this thread and sitting here trying to figure out how to sneak another late model past my wife for a build like this!

You just have to sell it as a "His Cruiser" and "Her Cruiser" scenario. What woman could say "no" to "I love you so much, I bought you another Land Cruiser"?

...finish welding and shaping the engine mount.

Love the attention to detail, great work!

Looks like there was a little rust hiding under the paint on the drivers side frame rail

We'll be cleaning that up and painting it for sure while the drivetrain is out.

Awesome thread. I'd like to do this someday, but I think I want a lift at home, a better welder, and a lot more knowledge before I tackle anything like this.

I had dimple dies ..... couple extra "cool" points.......No other reason!

Sure there is - (slightly) reduced weight and additional strength :)

My girl posted on Facebook the other day saying she wants a LandCruiser.

Convenient. :D

This convenient outlet for an oil pressure sender is just a tiny bit too large to be tapped for the 1FZ sending unit.

+1

Here are some detailed pictures of the A/C bracket(by request). This is a bracket that comes with the Turnkey engine package. It's not something we built.

The engine cover on the left hand side is a little tight to the power steering pump cap.

A little bit of trimming keeps things looking clean and it makes removing the cap to check or add fluid much easier.
