I believe air conditioning was one of the only factory options, maybe rear wiper and/or rear heater? FJ62 had some more options like cassette player, power windows.

Things like floor mats, pin stripes, and roof rack were dealer installed options.

Thanks for sharing. Take away from me is never to move or live there😁. Do they inspect toilet paper at the house as well?

So, last update before I go to pick up Betty: she passed TUV inspection, got her 'old timer' classification, and is insured based on this rating, where she received a solid B! :)
We are meeting the 'outlaws' for a week in France and then we'll head up to Wuppertal for pickup. FINALLY! And no one has asked for our TP to be inspected ... YET!

Also: we had to buy a second used car (a 2008 Toyota Yaris) to be able to get the special 'old timer' insurance coverage since we didn't own a daily driver. So, we went from 0 cars to 2 cars. Both Toyotas.

Another update....good and sort of not so good.
Here's a video of us driving on back from Wuppertal on the Autobahn and actually passing some other cars and trucks:

The not so good...yesterday I noticed a) the AC doesn't blow cold b) the PS stops working intermittently c) a slight water drip and d) a large amount of belt 'dust' has accumulated pretty much all over the engine bay. Not really what I was expecting after having spent so much time and moolah. I'm fine wrenching a bit on her but would have preferred more than one day before I had to start doing so. I checked the PS/alternator belt and it feels decently tight. And she seems to be charging fine.
Some pics:

It's the pulley/belt below the PS pulley that's flapping loose and I think the source of the belt 'dust'.
Since the PS belt seems fairly tight and the alternator seems to be charging fine, I'm afraid that might mean more bad news, that the PS pump itself might be on its last legs. :/
Thoughts?

Below the PS pump is the smog pump, you should be able to adjust the tension on it via the long threaded bolt attached to the bracket. If the pulley isn't turning it's possible the smog pump is seized or beginning to, which is unfortunately common.

On intermittent PS, are you sure the system is bled of all air and correct fluid level?

Thanks for jumping in. So, yeah, figured it was the smog pump (it's been de-smogged) and am not sure if Danny left the (loose) belt on to fool the German TUV inspectors or if it was tight and has loosened since the greater amount of driving she's done here in Germany. I looked at some earlier pics and I can see a small amount of belt dust only on the fan blades. So, am wondering if the blet can be removed all together since it's passed initial TUV inspection. I just got finished tightening it to a normal tension but if it's not needed and/or on the way to Seizeville, that might not be prudent, either.
I guess the other option is to leave it as is and just accept the eingine bay being filled with dust, lol.
I also did check the PS pump level (glad we're on the same page) and it's at the 'hot' level, even though the truck is cold. I wonder if some bleeding is in order?

OK, belt is tightened (and small water pump leak fixed). She was sometimes idling high (~1K) but seems to have settled back down to ~650. I also just noticed the headers Edwin and Shaun at Land Cruiser Specialists installed 25 years ago are still in the truck. lol.
I had asked Danny to replace with stock since the headers likely wouldn't pass the 'old timer' inspection. It seems they did but that opens another can of worms. lol.
Here's a video. I kept telling wifey I was hearing a funny exhaust sound but now I realize it might be 25 year old headers.

Anyone hear anything troubling?

OK, try now.
And another update, after slightly tightening the alt/PS belt and the smog/water pump belt I took it out for short test drive and all was going well until 10 minutes in and now the dreaded screech of a belt at any thing over 1.5K rpms. Will let post another video of that. :/

Are the belts too narrow? Are they glazed?

Watching the video, the belts look on the narrow side. They should ride on the walls of the pulley not in the valley. A bit of WD-40 can help (Water Displacement).
As for the sound, it sounds like it's missing a bit. Are all your plug wires firmly set/pushed on on both sides?

Yes, first thing I checked was plug wires but can give them all another shove. lol.
Here's the screeching:

Time to check the plugs themselves then, and/or run through a leandrop tune. Hard to tell without a stein of beer in my hand...

Well, Dieter and crew replaced all pugs a couple of weeks ago. I'm less concerned about that than the belt/pulley situation. Like I said, I don;t mid wrenching, I just wish I had gotten more than one day before I had to start in (and am pretty amazed it made it out of 2 garages like this. :/

So, I loosened the smog/water pump belt back to where it's now only slightly tighter than when I started this process but in my eye/mind it seems too loose. But the belt screeching is gone. The fan and water pump, etc. seem to be working as expected but I'm concerned the belt will continue ejecting dust until it will eventually fail. I was always taught belts should be a certain tension and this one seems way too loose in my mind.

Belt squeal is generally from slipping on a pulley, and my bet is your smog pump is starting to seize. With the proper tension the belt is slipping on a pump that is reluctant to spin. It looks like all your smog equipment and associated vacuum lines are still present. Are you sure you're "De-smogged"?

I'd also check the other belts for proper tension, I had a similar squeal at similar RPM when cold on the water pump belt, a few turns to tighten the tension cured it.

So, it was de-smogged a long time ago and Danny actually added some vacuum lines to decrease the likelihood of the TUV guys thinking it was de-smogged, so and since you were unsure if it was, I guess it worked? ;)
All the other belts seem to be properly tensioned.
And, since I re-loosened the initial belt, the squeal is gone but that means the belt dust will continue. Sooooo... hmm.
