Looks great!

Want to come finish mine?

Thanks! You're a bit far away, otherwise I'd have to swing by and lend a hand. But why do you need help, you're progress to this point blows mine away.

 you do have skills to repair rust!! want to work on my rig? I wish I could do my own body work like that!!

Quick update. I finished the hammer form and got it installed this weekend. I also cut the 1/4 panel skin to fit and stripped it of paint. I then temp set it on the body and fitted up the inner fender patch; just need to weld it in now. I also got all of the tar mat stripped from the cargo area. I am changing direction on the interior; I am going to leave the carpet out of the cargo area and shoot bedliner instead.

Updates from tonight. I got the patch finalized on the drivers side and pulled the quarter on the passenger side.

Driver side patch; I decided not to grind and finish the welds as they will be inside the quarter:

Passenger side 1/4 off:

Inner 1/4 rust:

Old 1/4 skin; notice all the rust and previous jank ass bondo repair:

Both 1/4's off; how much do you think I could get for it if I sold it right now? ;)

Naked

I like it but then i'm a little wierd!!!:bounce::bounce::bounce:Sure would be cool on a sunny day and a bit airy.

Haven't been good about posting picture updates, but I've gotten quite a bit done on the 60. I am still waiting for my buddy in Phoenix to ship my RR quarter, so I decided to go ahead and rust bullet and paint the floor without it. It will be easy to come back and paint the small section after I repair anyway. I finished the welding and smoothing of the LR patch; turned out pretty good. Didn't get pics of the rust bullet, but they would have looked the same as these, only silver! ;)

Thanks man! Remember, this project started months ago as a way for me to "clean up" my 60. HA! Guess I went a little overboard!!

One thing is sure Skinner; you will have a thousand or more testomonials to the fact that yours is truly the one and only rust free FJ cruiser of it's age on the planet. Pretty good braging rites if I do say so. Again awesome build and great documentation and photos thank you again.:beer::beer::cheers:

There's a Toys for Tots event in SoIN in November. As of right now, I'm planning on attending this event. The Hoosier Cruiser have some members down there which I hope will be attending. I'd like to drop by and see the progress in person if it's okay?

No problem. Just let me know when it is (we typically ride the dirtbikes out there when they have that event); assuming I'm in town you're more than welcome to swing by. I'm travelling a bunch again with the project that I'm on (currently in Detroit). . .:frown:
