8274 winch bumper plate mount

Looking for a design or a pre made plate to mount a 8274. I have a decent looking bumper, so just want the plate and brackets to secure it to the rig good.

I do have saginaw conversion, so not sure if I need to be offset to a side.

I found this at 4plus. Can't tell the thickness of the material, but this would be it. Anyone use this?

I plan to adapt the bumper to lower the 8274 to look like this.

Finally, I have a 8274 that was remote cable operated. Anyone know if I can convert this, or do I need to sell it and buy a normal one?

Generally what I have seen is the plate is welded to the bumper - there aren't brackets to hold the plate to the bumper. I have two bumpers that are designed for winches - one was a dealer option way back in the day and the other is one made by Warn. Both have welded on plates.

I suppose if you have a full tube bumper you could drill holes and bolt the plate to the bumper. Not as clean as welding since you'd have a lot of bolts showing. Wouldn't be my first choice.

Shouldn't be difficult to fab one up and if you can weld or know someone that can weld you are golden. I want to say the plate is 1/4" but will need to confirm later. I can get you dimensions of mine plate also.

I plan to weld it on. I am just looking for a premade plate that people use, or a good design. If the 4plus is a good thickness, I will drop the $21 and get it. Just getting lazy -- or have too many projects to do.

Here is an idea for you starting at post 47. The only modification I had to make to the factory bumper was cut the hole for the cable and drill 2 holes for the fairlead.

When I post that modification I had the factory steering but I later added Saginaw without any issues.
