A complete OEM 1971 FJ40 Left hand drive windshield frame with working wipers and no obvious rust or pinholes. I bought this for a split windshield project but decided not to do it after thinking about it more. This thing must have been stored...

You should be able to test the motor by itself, L to (+) and LR or LW to (-). You may not be able to turn wiper shafts with pliers due to gear ratio. That wire should solder to the top "reed" of the park switch. There is a tab that sticks out...

Organized chaos, I am always loosing tools or parts and then find them later. I now put new parts on the shelves to keep them away from my makeshift table.

Great post and I was happy to see an organized/clutter workbench like mine. My wife doesn't understand.

Found NAPA has tie rod clamps that are close enough to open them up with a die grinder to work with FJ70 Tie and Relay rods. They come with sleeves that I did not need. Opened up the clamps with a die grinder until they fit snugly with...

I figured it out! Turns out it was a trick question. It is a pivot pin for the ac compressor or something on the fj60 2f passenger front motor mount. Thanks for all your ideas!

It doesn't look familiar. I can only guess, but I think it might be a henway.

The brake mod on my '78 FJ40 is as follows: The front brake calipers & pads are 88-92 V6 4runner. The rotors are stock 76-78 FJ40. Rear brakes are 78-88 GM midsize (Monte Carlo, Cutlass....) front calipers & pads. Rotors are 88-89 Chevy light...

There are some carb guys here but as far as I know they just do Land Cruiser carbs. That is enough to keep them busy. P.S. don't buy the Chinese knock offs. You will get what you pay for. If you want a Cruiser carb rebuilt I would recommend...

If had it to do over I would go aluminum tub probably. I’m pretty much committed to steel now. Anyway, I think it will be a fun if nit very long project.

Lookin' good to me. However I must admit I went to aluminum to avoid chasing rust in the future. I have owned mine for 26 years and hope to be alive and drive it another 20 years. I will probably look like Mr. Magoo.

I still haven't got up he courage to cut a hole in my apron, but when contemplating the best approach I found the best solution is to remove the four screws that hold the snout on the carb fan, turn it and redirect the output with a flexible...

Thanks! I was blown away that I was selected on the first round! The rocket launcher is an AT4, decommissioned. It is a Swedish 84 mm (3.31 in) unguided, man-portable, disposable single-shot, shoulder-fired smoothbore recoilless gun anti-tank...

Looks like ma Looks like maybe one version for "out in the wild" with a tennis or nerf ball that is more portable and another, with a larger ball, for home use.

Or use a slightly larger ball like a child's size volleyball.

Ive actually seen a 2x2 piece of wood used for this. It didn’t seem to be vey tall either mostly just barley pushed up on the top material.

I used a 2x2 with a tennis ball on top inserted vertically between the console and middle of the bikini.
