Hello all, just recently purchased this truck from its 3rd owner. Spent nearly a year looking for the right one and was lucky enough to find this truck. Spent the first 20 years of its life in California and then lived in a garage on the east coast.

The years of information on Mud have been a fantastic resource. I have tackled a few repairs with help from all you good people on this site.

Maintenance/repairs so far:
Oil Change and sample sent to Blackstone Laboratories.
Distributor O-Ring replaced
Water leak in rear cargo repaired
Several vacuum lines replaced
Charcoal Canister replaced (AC Delco)
PVC valve and hose replaced
Brake fluid changed
VSV replaced

Will be tackling the oil pump gasket, crankshaft seal, and belts next week.

Certain I will be posting questions soon as I get further into this truck.

I do. You unhook them if they are hanging swing them forward and they lock into the brackets on the floor board. Make sure those brackets have not been covered by anything or they will not lock into place. For example...I have to remove my weather tech mat if I'm going to use them. Check the site for pics...one link is below that shows the brakets.

What is (maybe stupid questions, I am not in the non-European terminology :frown:)
- " New England weight reduction"?
- "Hansel and Gretel oil mod"?
And the wheels - I do not find them ugly, they look lightweight and sturdy!

Ahhh ok. Not a stupid question at all!

New England weight reduction means she has some rust.
The Hansel and Gretel oil mod, means she leaks oil wherever you go so you can always find your way back.

The wheels aren't terrible, I like the original wheels better. At least these are 17" though.
