like my old boy said so many years ago "the dullest pencil is sharper than the sharpest memory" gives it the race tractor look alsoAfter I set up the knuckles and installed the spindles I hit each fastener with a dot of paint to indicate that that piece had been properly torqued.

I'm so saving this for when I do this job....Knuckles went back together with new OEM fastners. Knuckle studs were upgraded, new cone washers, flat and wave washers, and nuts. Not knowing how many times these knuckles were dismantled and rebuilt, nor if parts were correctly reused, and that they've also seen a lot of use I decided to replace all with new OEM. Ordering parts through Partsouq eases the $$ pain.

I should have the Toyota part numbers saved I used for the caliper brackets (the stock bolts aren’t long enough)- think they were 100 series hub studs but will have to confirm.
They had a good shoulder and hood thread engagement.
I'm a big fan of the chromoly spindle nut set that Trail Gear sells (think it was originally a Longfield product). I've used those on my knuckles since I rebuilt in 2014 and they're fully reusable with a much thicker nut to set preload against the thrust washer. Nice to not have to buy new parts each time I tear into the front axle.New spindle nuts and washers.

I should've mentioned I don't think they're better quality than OEM necessarily, but definitely just as good with the added convenience of being reusable and less likely for my sometimes shaky hands to have the socket slip off when torquing the nuts thanks to them being thicker.I have >1 million miles spread across a mini-truck, FJ40, FJ60s, and FZJ80, the OEM spindle nuts have always worked for me so I'll stay with them.
Good to know this....I was considering these at one point. Are you planning on changing out your 70 series wheels?Test fit an 80 series aluminum wheel, which will not work. I tightened down 3 lug nuts and the wheel was tightly pressed against the caliper (?), it wouldn't rotate.

Bitch’n write-up. Want to see how you work out the rear elocker. I have hopes to retro fit the H4 trans button space for the 80 series locker dial.
Just FYI, they have 2 versions of the tundra brakes early and late. Late style is the upgraded casting because of issues with pre-mature brake wear. Not at all sure if it will matter for your application.
I would think that the size/casting difference may effect the wheels you can run. I have the 13WL casting and run 17” wheels.
