Got to meet @cruiserdan, show him the 45, and see the perfect ‘78 Canadian FJ45 they have in the collection.

The Dyna ROCKS!

World's bestest road trip.

I like pretty shiny rigs.

BUT, in this redneck’s mind, @JohnnyFish your 45 is in that “perfect” category, still looks like what these rigs were meant to look like out on the range.

I may be looking for a 14b clutch in Moab on a Sunday. Didn’t want to come out of reverse as I was parking. Further investigation in the morning.

Good news, it's not the clutch. Bad news, it's the clutch master. We made it exactly halfway before this issue. Now I have to acquire and install a clutch master.

Rented a jeep and had fun in the canyonlands area on Sunday.

My weekend panic seems to have been unjustified. Leaky clutch master is working good enough.

Today we set the all-time Dyna-hauling-FJ45 world record from Moab, UT to Roswell, NM at 12:45. No law enforcement countermeasures were used in this effort.

Home! Commemorated of course by the ceremonial righting of the bezel.

I got the FJ45 running this morning. It was missing a fusible link powering the ammeter circuit, and the 10A engine fuse. I filled the carb bowl and plugged the fuel hoses into a boat tank, and it fired on the first revolution.

It's now called Ichiro. Japanese by way of Seattle.

Trimmed. Kinked. $29 (free shipping). Sigh.

Is that a lower radiator hose?

You know, it does look like it's the right length of you split it in the right place. I think the two segments are different circumferences though.

… but it’s labeled and invoiced as upper.

The Toyota part from CCOT is more expensive but I bet it fits.

I’m hopeful for some help solving a little wiring mystery. I had this white with green or blue stripe poking through the firewall next to the choke cable. Stripped and looking a little toasted.

Here I’m holding it at the radio opening.

The only white with green I see on the @Coolerman diagram is from the alternator to the voltage regulator. That wire looks intact at both ends.

I’m thinking this is a white with blue ground wire that should connect to the firewall behind the dash. Looks a little greenish though. Any ideas?
