well…wisdom teeth out. I don’t know what the right combination of tools for all this was but I think the cutting discs were the big heroes of the day. I went through three of them and was a little spooked to try the 6 inch because of the RPM...

Ok the 3B is fixed! So I was fully convinced either the injector pump had failed or the timing gears had somehow failed. I was about to start pulling half the car apart and I thought I better ring the injector shop first to check how long their...

Yup definately keep it! It's part of its history. I've never even seen one in real life before. If you can make it so it work somehow even better.

Update on this build Long story short, the engine is in and it runs smoothly. Starts at the first turn and makes little smoke. The most challenging issue was finding the spot for the engine mounts. As for the engine mounts themselves, we adapted...

I just finished opening up and inspecting the fuel control relay. It looked fine in my opinion. Only one spot that had a tiny bit of powdery substance but I don't think it was anything. You can see it in the first picture, it's in the middle...

It starts perfectly and idles perfect. The exhaust still sounds crazy at idle though You and @4Ruster have both said something similar and it describes my symptoms probably the best out of all the replies and info I can find. I havnt checked...

Yup I've checked them. Still original but they arnt damaged or torn. The photo makes them look worse than they are. I can blow air straight through and if I block one end it is sealed. Thanks!

Does it stay running without holding the throttle down? Or does it die when you let off? I had that happen once on a customers Deutz tractor. The gear for the IP sheared the key off and slipped on the shaft, causing it to run super retarded...

Ok I've done some more investigating. This is where I'm at: Compression pretty good. 380, 350, 350, 380. Toyota manual says as long as its between 427 psi and 284 psi. And no bigger psi gap than 28. I have 30 psi difference but I doubt that's...

Hey guys just wondering what the symptoms of a faulty lift pump are?? Would it cause overfuel by any chance or just leak/let air into the system?? Thanks!

Awesome brochure Matt. I have an 82 bj42 and a 61 series. That brochure would look awesome on my shed wall if the resolution was higher.

Why on earth would you put a winch on with no intention of ever using it?? To make your car look cooler?? Possibly the stupidest thing I've read here in a while.

Uhhh, weigh the winch, then put similar weight on front of truck, then you'll see the difference.... Winch won't add or subtract value, only winch of 'value' is 8274 but it doesn't drive sales. If it is original and never sees dirt, I guess I...

Yup the icemaker works! The aircon had no gas left. I put in a brand new condenser, evaporator, drier and low pressure switch. I replaced all the o rings that were easy to get to. The evaporator was covered in heaps of leaves and dust. As a...
