Congrats! That’s an accomplishment fer shure!
The accomplishment was my fat ass getting in and out of the pig several times. Sure did feel good to watch the glass go up and down. I put blue tape on the edge of the glass while working to avoid walking into it and was simply to lazy to remove it.

Almost started tackling the new springs but ran out of steam. that project got stopped in its tracks when the bushings supplied by Alcan were too small and wide for the existing shackles. Cruiser outfitters was able to help after 2 orders, and I still have to do little adjustments to get them to fit in the spring perches. Maybe this weekend....

@ToyotaMatt has the contact board and relatively priced lower than most. It’s also a factory Toyota part.
SLO cruisers is out of stock or was on the side window channel felts for the the tailgate.
Looking good so far! Keep going!

Spent day trying to get the back window functioning, problem was window was up so couldn’t open the tail gate. Working from inside and with some assistance from @PabloCruise i removed the gears and worked the arms off the tracks attached to the window.

With window down I lowered the tailgate and proceeded to figure out what the hell was going on.
Opened up the gear box and of course the gear was crap. This was replaced and I proceeded to get it back together. Before I put the gear set up back in the tailgate I confirmed motor worked with another battery.

Once back in I wired everything back up and nothing would work. “Well f***” I said, unwired things isolated just the rear window control and nothing. Went the other way although I had little confidence the front switch would work after looking at wires going to tailgate. They appear crimped and a few bare wires are showing. With the motor now directly wired to the front switch and the wife pushing on the safety switch things came to life. Of course it had hard time going down past half way.

The wife had some difficulty understanding what the heck I was asking about noises we were hearing and eventually I found found the felt on drivers side was bunched up preventing the window from coming down. Then I sprayed copious amounts of silicone spray around things to see if that would help.

The window now goes up/down without any issue but I’ve got to figure out the rear tailgate switch. Where the wires all come together in the tailgate I’ve got to replace the small board they attach to as it’s broke in half. Hopefully city racer has another.

Overall a great day playing with the pig!!

Thanks for that insightful information. Pretty sure I've only bought about $5k worth of parts from them without issue. FWIW they were just the first hit on google when I searched for the part number.

How about McGeorge Toyota? Do you have an issue with them? Slightly cheaper price, FWIW.

My original point is these are not NOS, they are current items in Toyota's inventory.

Apologies @greenbeast, we're mucking up your thread.

Funny I was thinking of that while I was working. “Was this the equivalent to the knuckle job on a 40” obviously not but definitely felt feeling of satisfaction when I was done.

I can completely relate. The most satisfying part of restoring my last rig was chasing down the electrical gremlins and winning. That satisfaction must be proportionate to the frustration of getting through it. When I got the turn signals working on my '71, I sent videos of it to my friends and family, it was a really proud moment.

Well it’s been crazy last month, got my medical boards out of the way which was consuming all my time. Bushings supplied by Alcan do not fit in springs perches so had to order new ones from Cruiser outfitters.

Anticipating body shop calling to take it to grand junction any day now so I had to get rear window fixed and still need to pull AC and headliner. But now I’m oklahoma until I drive home sunday.

Son now had first collegiate track meet next weekend (thankfully not redshirted) so looks like I’ll attack some of it at night next week.
