Well, I had to liven up my 11 year old cruiser so here is the totally redone interior. Many of us had asked those that bought the Oak interior to post pics...actualy begged them......no one ever did. So to those folks...thanks for nuttin'. Anyway, this is obviously a 40th anniv. 2 tone. I had only Oak prior.
The kit came from from AATLAS on this list. I have to say....the leather fit and finish looks like it was port installed.
The quality leather is incredible. The fit is PERFECT. I will say, that the slight puckering...or loose fitting on the bolsters of the drivers side is normal. Understand the foam has compressed over 11 years. It is cold here in Dallas and I'm sure the foam will expand once the Texas heat arrives.
Only the driver side isn't quite as "full" as all other seats...but I have not thought twice about it.
As you can see, I added a front pocket for spare change etc. to the front of the drivers side seat...and went to "LANDCRUISER" retro on the headrests.

Looks awesome. How come you didn't replace the foam?

Only problem I have is with the following statement

LOL...ya got me on that one! Well..the point I was making was about "shrinkage" ;-)) The foam is not as full due to the cooler temps and therefore, the warmer temps should fill in the pucker factor of the leather.
As far as new foam goes...I knew it was still in good shape . So I personally don't think new foam was needed...heck I only have 95,000 miles on this thing.

Dude, that looks sweet!

that looks great. Did you get that in the group buy? Can you PM me a price? My leather is waaaaaaay worn out.

Looks great - I'd love to do that to my LX450 - my DS front seat looks like Keith Richards and the PS looks like Mick Jagger. What was the cost? Can you post the link for the supplier?

Yep, AATLAS is the man. The cost was $750...for everything. (installation was $250.00).
the whole thing was done under a grand...a helluva deal.

The installation is what worries me a little. Not having hog pliers or whatever they are called and not having the right rings to pinch it back on is a little intimidating to me.

Very nice indeed! I now predict a rush on new leathers as preventative maintenance.

Hush there, spey maggot. AATLAS has a good deal going, we don't want to see him raise his price before I can get mine. Go back to your ungodly snap tee casting and leave us mortal fisherfolk be.:grinpimp:

Don't be intimidated - it's really not that difficult. Here is a write up I did (if you haven't seen it) on the seat heater installation. Heck, I'd even loan you my hog ring pliers - I bought them used for $3.

Looks good!

I am new to the FJ80 scene. I picked up a 40th Sage a couple of weeks ago in Boulder, CO.

Here are some two tone pics for a comparison.

Looks great! When my leather goes kaput I plan on doing the samr thing, although I have the grey interior. I will do a charcoal and grey.

BTW, I like the armrest on the driver side too:cheers:

The seat pattern in post 1 is not correct. Look at the photos in post 16, that pattern is correct. There should be a flat space between the pleats, as shown in post 16.

Dan you are correct. I noticed this right away. It does not bother me and i realized this was the only compromise I had to make with the kit. But I am quite happpy with it.
