This has been mentioned many times and for some reason it can't be done.

It can be done, Toyota did it. Maybe it can't be done economically

I think it's just a lack of desire on the makers part. I only need the front two seats and only want to do that much work on the interior. But I was told that getting both was too good a good deal and switch both sets over to the Lexus style stitching.

The installation is what worries me a little. Not having hog pliers or whatever they are called and not having the right rings to pinch it back on is a little intimidating to me.

Hey bud, there is a guy on Edwardia drive in Greensboro, he gave me a quote of 500ish or so to repair my seats (need resewn in couple places) and then to sand them down and redye grey again!

SO basically new looking seats for 500ish and he does all the work, prob a bit cheaper if your seams are ok.

The "lines" that are there eventually come back but it takes a while and even longer if you start treating them so they stay supple.

Just an alternative!

Steve, they look great and will settle in over the next month or two.

that looks great. Did you get that in the group buy? Can you PM me a price? My leather is waaaaaaay worn out.

See my sig line for more details.

Cost? And how long did it take you? Considering doing this WITH the heated seat addition

Pliers are $10 at Home Depot and rings are free if you ask for them as I just now stock them.

It can, but the cost is huge! I may post pics of what it would take to do it. There is a long plastic pice on the under side for support and more materials.

Bingo!

Airlaird - Sorry if this is a dumb question, but where did you get the drivers side arm rest in the first set of pictures?

I used to make the armrests years ago. Sold over 200 of em' in the 90's. In my other life....;-)

I've been thinking about this and working up a another complete interior wouldn't make sense as people will just buy the LX version. But what about people like me who just need the seat bottom and don't care about matching colors as it's just a repair and will get trashed soon enough.

Can you supply just the seat bottoms in the Land Cruiser design? My truck is a 96 and the driver side seat bottom is near it's end and the passenger one is a close second. But the rest is more than OK for the trucks intended purpose.

Honestly, getting that 1 piece from Dan for 400.00 is more inviting to me than the whole new interior for 750.00. I save 350.00 and a whole lot of work.

Maybe I'm alone on this but I'd pay 400.00 for two seat bottoms if they matched the existing interior.
