I stand corrected. In looking closer, I think it is a '6''. I apologize. Picture enclosed.

Will try to do better with photos. I find it cumbersome to attach pictures, not becasue of IH8MUD, but because of the effort requried to get existing photos from the cloud, then save them, and then attach to IH8JUD. There's probalby a better way, and I'll pursue.

If you have a smart phone you can take a pic and download them from your phone.

Given there are already pictures and information in this thread, rather than creating a net-new post, I elected to just expand the specific topic slightly here; it has to do with the brake "servo". I had a mechanic check out my restored Costa Rican FJ restomod, which has a 3F engine and disk brakes all the way around which supposedly came from a Hilux, but I don't know what year or the specific manufacturer. Even though I told him that the brakes seem to work pretty well, except for the long travel path toward the floor before the brakes actually catch, he also noticed a concern that there is a problem with the brake booster, and asked if I knew what year Hilux and if I could get any additional information. I think the previous engine compartment pictures enclosed in this thread are about as good as I can do. My question is does anyone have any familiarity with the brake servo depicted in the pictures? And/or, which year Hilux would be the right platform for the conversion from drum to disk brakes? Any insight would be most appreciated.

Sounds like the push rod isn't adjusted correctly...from the sounds of it i wouldn't be surprised by that at all.

Thanks for that. I hope it's that simple. In looking around the internet, those brake servo units are pretty high dollar. In the event it's more than an adjustment, I hope someone comes up with some insight as to the manufacturer of this presumed after market component. The pictures enclosed in this thread may not provide enough clarity to tell. Also, I'm going to do some further digging around on specific to drum to disk conversions using Hilux components. I'd really like to know the year the disk conversion components came from. Thanks again.
